    Had a blast on this badass V-rod. Tons of torque and sounds amazing with those vance pipes. Also, I've got a surprise coming for you guys so stay tuned! Any guesses what it might be???

      But what if I only get like 500 dollars? I can't give away a $12,000 motorcycle for a couple hundred dollars...

    • @JaretCampisi
      @JaretCampisi  7 лет назад

      l m people would be buying in to support the content and be a part of the build first and foremost. The entire patreon site is actually built around people being able to support content creators that they like. All that being said, hopefully we would get plenty of support and be able to give the bike away so it wouldn't even be an issue. 👍

      l m Haha yea I agree and that's the last thing I would want to happen as it could ruin my reputation and my channel.

      I think we don't need to worry because its white - now if it was red then I would not blame him for wanting to keep it. On the other hand I have seen so many horror stories about Ducati reliability perhapa he should pay us to take it off his hands?

  • @dandydeleon

    It has a 1250cc engine. I have a 2013 one I love it. It does get the looks because it is a different Harley. Too bad they are discontinued as 2017 is the last year for them.

      I rode XL models over 40 years of riding. I changed to VROD and all the big twin riders treat me the same. Like I dont exist. Well, they must see the blip as I smoke em out on the road. HAHAAHA :)

    • @ynotliveitup8868
      @ynotliveitup8868 4 года назад

      @@frednouvertne4216 still got an evo built chain drive to hang with the inches but the vrod gaining respect. I say it can keep up. No hill to big. Not much hanging with it either. Raised rev limiter to 10500k and increased fuel pressure to 65. A few other mods to get the air flowing. I snapped a throttle cable last year but haven't had to crack the case yet. Drag raced it in sturgis and road it to Arizona southern California deserts in 116 degrees. From mn putting it to the test. Thousands of miles of beating it hard. I found a few weak links. Ride harder... YNOT live it up

  • @Koza1385

    I've got an 09 Vrod Muscle, it revs so high because it's a different engine design than your standard Vtwin Harley. The Revolution engine was jointly developed by Porsche. But many HD owners don't believe the Muscle and Night Rod are "real" Harley's.
    They can't touch it in the twisties or acceleration though.

    With a v-rod on the highway you feel like you can pass anything, so much fun for a lil straight line squirt. See a lotta blokes do wheelies on em too.

    Coming off a CBR929 I kept looking for the mid mount controls when I got my V-Rod Muscle as well. I just wish V&H still made the slip on pipes. It also revs like a sport v-twin. Once it gets over 5500 rpm it gets much more fun.

    The V-Rod is a mean machine. I'm on my second V now, a 2016 Muscle. The design, the Revolution engine and the bike's dark presence put it at the top of my list. BTW, Porsche did not engineer the engine as many will say. Harley hired some of Porsche's engineers onboard to assist in taming the engine down and giving it street manners. The engine originally came from Harley's race bike, the VR1000. Being that it was a full blown race engine, putting down ~190-200hp, it was not made for the street and; therefore, would've torn itself apart. This 1250cc Revolution is rated at 125 crank hp. This spring, I tore mine down and put a Stage 1 kit in it (Vance & Hines Competition pipes, K&N filter, topless airbox and a DynoJet Race Tuner). It now puts 120hp to the ground. A good bump in power for ~$1,000. BTW, I noticed you riding in Harrisburg. I live near Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York.

This may seem off topic lol but can you make a video going through the specific phases of the 400 hurdles because I'm a sophomore, I run 52.8 in the 400 and 58 in the hurdles and my coach says that the difference should be about 3-4 seconds and a world class hurdler like you could really show what happens in between the hurdles or developing a step pattern etc.

    I noticed on your ride, you stopped on oil spots at a stop light. Your tire will sponge it up. This includes parking spaces. This will cause tire degradation and reduce performance. I'm sure your Panigale (I'm jealous) tires need cleaning. (6:05 in video)

So Harley is committed to performance bikes and if you owned one youd love it. Mine is my favorite of six Harleys l owned over the years. Itll fill your need for speed

    Harley had Porsche design the motor.

    • @mstngken
      @mstngken 6 лет назад +4

      Jesus H fucking Christ would you learn your info this fucking motor was not designed by Porsche this motor is the late 1990s designed by HD VR1000 racing engine Porsche helped with the cooling and heads for street use. Mostly the 4 valve heads which they are great at.

    • @theoriginalmungaman
      @theoriginalmungaman 6 лет назад

      Some idiots, even news articles credit Porsche with designing the whole bike! Harley contacted Porsche to help co-engineer the Eric Buell designed VR1000 engine for street use. The VR was already an 8 valve water cooled 60 deg V twin!

    • @fvgc454ss
      @fvgc454ss 5 лет назад

      Erik Buell initially designed the engine. I believe he also initially designed the 1125 rotax engine 15 years before it was actually came out in production bike. I hope someone does a documentary on all the things he designed that the world.doesnt know about. Even had a 450 dirtbike in the mid 2000s that was the first fuel injected 450 and more power and lighter then the Honda 450 with some tricky aluminum cast process frames and swingarm that a buddy he went to engineering school with invented that's is lighter and twice as strong as normal casting. Which of course harley scrapped right before production...

      2Wheel Pursuit yes they actually just take bikes on trade now and then. They aren't a fuel dealer otherwise.

    4:05 I have to wonder if that driver thought you were turning right. Something I'll think about when riding in the city. I like to weave like that too. As a matter of fact, I test rode someone's RC51 that had no mirrors and when I weaved like that to test out the handling, the cop behind me at the light pulled me over and yelled at me. 😆

    I'm 29 and always liked the Vrod. But the traditionalists never accepted it. Even though eventually because of emission regs globally the future Harleys will be closer to Vrods and XG's

    • @JaretCampisi
      @JaretCampisi  7 лет назад +2

      I always find it odd that another rider wouldn't "accept" a bike...if it has two wheels and an engine I think its cool.

    • @dxcaprice88
      @dxcaprice88 7 лет назад +1

      Jaret Campisi I know that's my feeling on it . If you're someone riding on two wheels. It's cool whether it's a 250 or a liter bike.

    Harley guys don't "accept" this as a "real" Harley because you don't have to split the cases and put $4k into the motor right after you buy it.... Riding position combined with the seat from the '02 model was just uncomfortable to me. If it had a sportbike peg position it would be much better. So I sold mine. Still would be the only Harley model I would buy.
