My ranking of the singles are 3. Do You Really Wanna Know 2. Lost Cause 1. Terrorist But with that being said, I LOVE all of them A LOT!!!! Had never heard of this band before I saw someone react to them, now I'm going back and discovering a lot of their older stuff I love as well. I am a big fan of catchy choruses and super fun riffs (I absolutely love the riff in Terrorist), and Novelists FR are amazing at both of those things.

I’m also the guy who asked you to cover a poison the well song who were also a pure passion band. It’s hard to get into this new material when the old set an unreachable bar in my opinion

Novelists and BMTH have done what bands have been trying t do for a few years now, which is mixing electronic/hiphop sounds with metal in a natural sounding way. Diamond Construct did it and it felt clunky, and a ton of others tried before, but none have beat these two

The drums slapped, and guitar work was fantastic! However the weird amalgamation of the nu-metal vocals, with cleans, and heavy metalcore vocals, didn't seem to work for me. Loved the review as always my guy! Thank you for everything you do.
I hate to be that guy but this is just a shade of what Novelists was capable of imo. I don't have an issue with bands changing and trying new things, but the magic of Novelists is completely gone. Comparing this to Gravity, Echoes, Souvenirs, Monochrome, Under Different Welkins... what else can I say?
i feel the exactly the same, its awesome that theyre trying new stuff (lost cause was amazing) but their earlier sentimental prog style was what really made me fall in love with them
To me Novelists = Souvenirs album. They had something awesome and unique and everyone loved this. Idk why you would explore more mainstream/bland styles.. money probably
