    Such a clear & easy video to learn from, I do the other kinda tassels with brick stitch, but thought I’d give these ago, my initial thought was that looks easy as, but on watching a couple of videos so far there are different ways of doing this, each with their own tips & tricks, but I think I’ll be coming back to see yours!

    Thank you for sharing with us........ Questions, what size cone is this? Can I use E6000 glue?

    • @sunflowermc9703
      @sunflowermc9703 3 года назад

      E6000 is fantastic for jewellery and polymer clay. I use it all the time. 💚🇦🇺

    • @capitalcitybeads
      @capitalcitybeads  3 года назад

      I prefer Hypo Cement over e6000. It has a tiny needle applicator and dries clear. E600 is great for gluing things onto other things but it gets kinda clumpy when it comes to thread. But since this is going to be hidden by the cone, GO FOR IT!

    If I have no wire would an eye pin work?

    • @capitalcitybeads
      @capitalcitybeads  3 года назад +1

      Yes an eye pin will totally work. Just be mindful of the opening. YOur thread may slip through. But its no biggy just push it away from the opening when you come to the top and you will be fine.

    Hello - how do you know which size cone to use? Thank you :) x

    • @capitalcitybeads
      @capitalcitybeads  3 года назад +1

      Hello! The cones in this video are available on my website www.capitalcitybeads.com under Findings. But any cone will work it’s up to you ans your design. The bigger the cone the more strands you’ll have to bead to fill it up!

    making tassel with crimp at end

    • @capitalcitybeads
      @capitalcitybeads  2 года назад

      For this technique you don't need any crimps! No need for extra metal or weight. Crimps can also cut into thread and cause breakage. Crimps are great with stainless steal beading wire such as soft flex! ❤️

    Can you use long eye pins? Instead of wire?

    • @capitalcitybeads
      @capitalcitybeads  2 года назад

      Yes. But eye pins have a slight opening and your thread could slip out. As long as you are aware and keep your thread away from the opening you will be ok. Just glue glue glue so the threads can't move into that opening and fall out. This is why I prefer a fully closed wire wrap

    Just one question... Why do you decrease 1 bead for the first and second colour.... In the 2nd tassel onwards.? 😁

    • @capitalcitybeads
      @capitalcitybeads  2 года назад +1

      I start with my longest tassel first so I can set my max length. I decrease one or two beads as I go to achieve a tapered look.

    • @michaelireefe8118

      @capitalcitybeads yes I just watched your video but I was stumped and had the same question as well. Do you continue to decrease with the other strands until you've done the last strand? Awesome work and great instructions by the way. 😊

    • @capitalcitybeads

      I would not. Fireline is more ridged and stuff and your fringe will not be flowy.

    Can we skip the glue. I hate having this type of glue in my home and the smell is awful when using. Will it fall apart without glue?

    • @capitalcitybeads
      @capitalcitybeads  Год назад

      If you tie the knots correctly and very tight you should be ok. You can also use any glue that you are comfortable with. I love hypo cement because it only smells for a moment, dries clear and does not stick to your skin like super glue. Using it outside or in a well ventilated room is a must.
