    Made these last night and the first one was definitely a frustrating experience lol but the second one I didn't have to look at the video and it went way better! Just finishing the top with the ear hooks needs more work to perfect. The first one I didn't get nearly enough string, so I had to tie a new piece on the existing one.
    I'm really thankful for this tutorial though! Most just cap them off but the caps I have are the wrong color for the project in mind.

    Easy to follow video, thank you. At the beginning of your video you had bead containers for your beads, I have not seen those before, can I ask where you got them from and maybe a picture of them, thank you.

    • @BeadingbyHannah
      @BeadingbyHannah  2 года назад +1

      Hi, thank you. The containers are from a bead storage tray which they all fit into, it’s called the darice plastic Elizabeth wards tiny bead storage tray. You can also just buy the tiny containers separately without the tray, I got mine from Amazon but if you Google the name you should be able to find it at several shops, I have a video on my channel about my bead storage: ruclips.net/video/51V5AhhgkAo/видео.html where I show the tray in detail, it starts about 14 minutes in, I hope this helps :)

    May I ask a question. I followed you pattern to a T and am happy to say the earrings turned out great. If I didn't get a long enough thread to complete my earrings, can you tell me if I can add more and if so what would be the best place to add on where it doesn't show too much. Putting the needle through 3x will be a tight squeeze. I haven't done that yet but I'm sure I will. Thanks

    • @BeadingbyHannah
      @BeadingbyHannah  2 года назад +2

      Hi, I would say to add thread along the bottom of the top cylinder part of the earring so that when you add your strands on they would hide the knot, I hope that makes sense :)

    • @BeadingbyHannah
      @BeadingbyHannah  2 года назад

      Hi, I always try to leave enough thread so I can tie knots easily using the needle but sometimes I leave it short and have to tie do it without using a needle but you are right it’s very fiddly

    What size bees do u use.? I’m new at this but every time a choose a bead it’s too big and the mm are different for different products or stores.

    • @BeadingbyHannah
      @BeadingbyHannah  7 месяцев назад

      I use size 11 seed beads which are approx. 1.8mm and if you want beads that are all the same in size and shape always use a good brand like miyuki, toho, preciosa :)

  • @deathlesshermetics9375

    Hi I'm trying to figure out how you slide the first beads down onto the thread. If I thread my needle it's got two separate sides one on each end of the needle eye. If I try to slide the beads down one side they go down both meaning they go down the original thread but the excess hanging off the eye gets beaded too bc they're just two folded ends of one thread. Am I doing that correctly or do I need to start at the other end of the thread (what would usually be the bottom?) I didn't see any info on if we tie any knots or not etc before putting beads in.

    • @BeadingbyHannah
      @BeadingbyHannah  2 года назад

      Hi, I’m not sure if I’m understanding exactly what you mean but hopefully this helps, when I thread my needle I only pull a very small amount through the eye and I don’t tie any knots on the thread at all before beading because once you go through the first beads they are secured into place

    • @BeadingbyHannah

      Yes it’s best to use even sized beads or it can mess up the pattern quite a lot :)

    How much string do you leave at the very beginning of the string? I noticed there is string left at the top of the earring. Do you tie a knot with the string? These might be silly questions!! Also I’m having trouble with my thread being too big when I go back through the beads I already went through. Is there only one string going through the beads or two strings at once? You never showed us how you use only one string and if you tie a knot next to the needle? How do you keep the needle on the thread without it falling out? I’m really new to this. I know how to sew but this looks different than sewing, you use only 1 string?

    • @BeadingbyHannah
      @BeadingbyHannah  Год назад +1

      I usually leave a little bit maybe 5/6inches and I don’t tie a knot at the start because once you add the first beads and sew through them they won’t fall off, but at the end when the earring is finished I will weave that extra thread down through the earring and maybe tie a couple of knots between the beads and then cut it off, I hope that makes sense ☺️

    • @BeadingbyHannah

      Yes you can do more than 6, the more you do though the less round it will be, it will probably be a flatter shape at the top but it will still work :)
