I've lived in Adelaide my whole life and never visited Andamooka, but of course I know how important these small outback towns are to the SA economy. The harsh environment and tough conditions in order to mine the prettiest of gems, the opal. Great song lads :)

Ridge kid here. I have never been to the opal mining towns in SA but want to come out for a trip some time to take a look. I know a guy mining in Mintibie and I know a guy who was in Andamooka back in the seventies before he moved over to Lightning Ridge.
