Some advice to any fellow travellers:
I had a very positive experience sailing for the first time but unfortunately, it isn't the case for everyone as some people have bad intentions, there are sexual predators out there and people can sometimes find themselves in potentially dangerous situations. So please take your safety precautions when travelling: ask questions, use your common sense and trust your instincts! If going sailing, especially alone, always do your research to assess if the boat, captain, and crew are safe, reliable and a happy match. Also, I recommend always telling someone you trust: who you’re sailing with, how long you might be away and your location if you know you might go off the grid for a while. I’m including resources and links to websites, groups and sailing communities where you can find blacklisted captains, find more information and meet other travellers. I actually remembered the video from earlier this year. What an amazing experience! And I would say, you should have stayed on for the Atlantic crossing. It is an experience for a lifetime, as the captain described one should seek. Love the videos and would encourage you to post more often. Cheers!

It’s not really clarifying on RUclips though in the videos about his boat being built it thanks him so maybe inspiration because I don’t see plans for his online
Florence, if I can recommend and interview subject, it would be Sven Yrvind and also Mr. & Mrs. Martin, of Round Pond, Maine; their daughter, Holly Martin, has a youtube channel called “Wind Hippie Sailing”, as she’s currently circumnavigating as a solo sailor. She was born and raised on their circumnavigation, and they literally wrote books and magazine articles on sailing. Mr. Martin currently builds and restores old sailboats, but BOTH of them are incredible wealths of knowledge and still do deliveries and boat-sitting.

don't wast time looking for happiness, it's all right in front of us.
I like your attitude, and your thought process. Remember the Chinese proverb that states, "a journey of a thousand miles, starts with the first step." Now comes the next step. Another quote..."Not all who wander, are lost." I've lived through 75 summers, and just recently acquired a kayak, general purpose, but really a fishing kayak. I plan on doing some exploring, and living from the sea. Why.? Because the challenge is there. I'm looking to where your next step takes you. Keep looking forward. Stay focused. Don't get side tracked, unless you know for certain that that will get you back on the right route. I've subbed to your channel. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Atb for your journey in life.

Amazing episode ! The sailing life definitely isn't for everyone but its a great life for those few of us lucky enough to have experienced it.
Excellent! Now you need to look up James Wharram catamarans. As big a boat as this one is, it may be easier for you to try a smaller boat, at least at first. There’s one lady who sails a 26 foot cat along the Dalmatian coast. Her vessel’s name is Ariki. She has posted some RUclips videos that you may like. Incidentally, I think you very brave to take off on this adventure, not knowing the captain or what he’s like. Most I believe are good people, but there are some that are not so. Good luck out there.
