    Nathan, when you said "OK Yiko", my X1 also responded and started looking for the spot to clean...was very funny!
    I know everyone that tests the robots say the Roborock is better with the vibrarise mop, and yes it is a big plus. I have, however also seen, is that after the floor has dried, there seem to be thin lines left by the Roborock mop. I guess it is from the edge. I do not ever see that on my floors with the X1. When I have mopped, there are no lines and it looks great. I have had the odd stain which the X1 could not totally clean, but with double passes with max water level just on that spot, seems to clean it up 99% of the time. What I do now, is after the initial scheduled clean of my whole uncarpeted area (around 75 sq m without furniture and actually cleaning area of around 46 sqm with furniture), I take a walk and see if there are any place that had some tougher spots. I then do what I said in the beginning; specify multiple cleaning zones (seldom more than 1 or two), ramp up the water level to max, and do a double pass on them. That has cleaned just about anything the real world can throw at me.
    SO in general - after about six months, I am still very happy with my X1 Omni.

      Hahaha, I should pay attention to the streaking. Yes from testing other robots that uses counter rotating mopping pads there has been less streaking than the traditional vibrating and non vibrating ones. Sounds like the X1 is doing well in your home and thank you for the tips. For me I usually have it vacuum and mop twice, which usually does a good enough job :)

    thx. .for the video - can you leave the moping pads on and just make it vacuum (i am too lazy to take it off and on). Also can you reuse the dust bags by just emptying the contents and reusing it?

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  Год назад +1

      Hello so depending on what model you are referring to. The Ecovacs models can vacuum only while the mopping pads installed. Just remember that the robot can't transition onto carpet with the pads installed. The Newer Roborock and L10s Ultra can since the mopping can raise up a few mm. The dust bast are designed to be one time use, but you are able to empty out the content and reuse. Overtime the material may degrade so watchout for that.

  • @acharletta

    Nate, how does this compare to the DreameBot L10s Ultra? Early in the video I believe that you said that the mop reservoir does not automatically fill. Did I understand correctly?

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  Год назад +1

      Yes that the only difference between the X1 OMNI and this model. There no onboard water tank, the dock will periodically clean and prewet the mopping pads. As for the L10s Ultra the biggest difference is the Ultra can transition onto carpet with the auto lift mopping pads. The T10 requires the user to manually remove the mopping pads before vacuuming carpets. This is good if you have thicker carpets and don't want the mopping pads to go onto the carpet. As for features the T10 has more. Video security patrol, 2 way audio communication with video, on board voice assistant, faster navigation. Currently from what I observed the T10 has the quickest obstacle navigation beating out the Roborock S7 MaxV.

    if u compare with roborock s8 pro ultra, which one u prefer for house has half carpet and tiles?

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  Год назад

      So from my experience, the T10 performed better on tile than the S8 Pro. Benefit of getting the S8 Pro if you have lower profile carpet you can vacuum and transition onto the carpet with the mopping pads. If your carpets are thicker than you will be better off with the T10 since the robot will actively avoid the carpet with the mopping pads installed. The T10 has more feature like the on board voice assistance and live video streaming capabilities.

  • @ScottLeapman
    @ScottLeapman Год назад +2

    I assume it still doesn't raise the mopping discs, so you can't send it out to do a single "clean everywhere" job that mops and vacuums hard floors and vacuums carpets all in the same job? That would be two jobs; one with the mopping discs installed and one with them manually removed just like the Omni... If so, the Roborock S8 Pro is the only robot that will do that plus auto-empty, auto-refill, auto-clean, etc....

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  Год назад +1

      That correct, probably the biggest limitation to the Ecovacs Robot Vacuums. There a couple of alternatives like the L10s Ultra, S7 MaxV Ultra, the not released yet S8 Pro and a few lesser known brands.

    • @ScottLeapman
      @ScottLeapman Год назад +1

      @@RobotMasters Thanks. I'm tired of doing the tag-team of the iRobot S9+ for vacuuming and the iRobot m6 for mopping.... that takes so long to do two back-to-back jobs.

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  Год назад

      @Scott Leapman Yes having a robot than can vacuum and mop simultaneously can save a lot time. One thing to note is if you have thicker carpets, the mopping pads will scrape on top of the carpet leaving dirt streaks. So I recommend getting a robot that can actively avoid carpets to avoid this.

    • @ScottLeapman
      @ScottLeapman Год назад +1

      @@RobotMasters Thanks! My home is 95% hard floor with 2 small low-pile area rugs. I'm hoping that the Roborock's rising mop will clear the area rugs. Even if it doesn't, it will still be faster and easier than my current tag-team 🙂

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  Год назад +2

      @@ScottLeapman Yes, if you are planning on upgrading take a look at the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra if you want the ultimate self washing, emptying robot. This model has been out for awhile now and had a few software bugs worked out. I suspect the S8 Pro will be cheaper, but you forgo the camera system and can’t physically remove the water tank or mopping plate.

    Hi Nathan, as in our country mopping is very important so after how long it cleans it's pad. N what is ur opinion with the comparison of roboroks8

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  Год назад

      So from what I observed so far, the S8 Pro VibraRise system did a better job at removing tougher stains. On the flip side, I felt like the mopping cleaning system did better at washing the mopping pads. As for how often the robot goes back and washes the mopping pads, both are based on a timer setting. I usually set it on the least amount of time so the mopping pads get washed the most often. The cleaning process for both Robots is a few minutes and both have a 2-4 Hot Air Drying feature.
