      Abby Louise Rexroth Well,of course it is.Thats a 3D object..It's like saying You like how You "created" your own shadow.

    • @projectvodka7931
      @projectvodka7931 6 лет назад +123

      Shadow Guy technically it isn’t a 3D object. the layers of paint created an illusion of the fish actually being a 3D object. that’s why it’s fascinating

    • @markmccrea4109
      @markmccrea4109 6 лет назад +6

      Yeh instead of taking the extra time to paint the shadow

    • @CosplayLane
      @CosplayLane  6 лет назад +49

      painting a shadow wouldn't be a good idea because when displaying it the fish will give off its own shadow. So it would have 2 shadows lol!

      if clear bowl is used then u wont get the 3d effect
      all u will see is layers
      this art needs an opaque background and resin is poured in layers day by day and allowed to dry ; the final image looks 3d bcoz of the refractive index of resin

      On July 9th, 2018, a pet goldfish that was named Fluffy, part of a family, had died. His grave which was in the backyard, will withstand any temperatures, seasons, grass and foots of evil humans who stepped on Fluffy’s grave. Here lie the beloved goldfish everyone mourns, he lived a long life, with a nice human willing to feed him and give him food.
      Rest in piece,

    This is amazing! Seeing the thumbnail, I thought it was a frozen goldfish! Honestly, it’s so realistic. I’m trying out sculpting. I’m using dollar tree clay, although it’s actually not that bad. I’m trying out animating and drawing canines, but it’s taken me a long way! I remember using a circle based head, adding triangle ears, and dot eyes, mouth, nose, etc... After switching between multiple styles I final found a pretty nice one. In suggestions in sculpting canids?

    This is amazing! I am a fellow artist and I would love to try this. Do you have a full video on this process or a link to a full video on this process? I would love to see it in real time. Grats on the new job and good luck with that! I hope you can find time to do more... Nothing sadder to an artist then to not have time to be able to do their craft! Thanks for a great video and I hope to see it in real time. You rock!

      Cosplay Lane you're welcome! You deserved compliments for this. I am so happy to hear that you have the full length video. I will check that out for sure. When I get the chance to try it I will definitely show you how it turns out... Unless I screw it up! lol I am thinking I will try it with a clear plastic bowl. I was thinking about it last night and what I'd really like to do is to find some kind of plastic sphere that I can do it in. I could cut it in strips and add the strips as I build it up! That way when I was done it would be a fish in solid sphere. But I will start at first by simply trying to replicate what you've already done. : ) Thanks again for your fast response.

    If you watch tablemaker's videos on resin handling, they blow the surface with heat guns to delete the bubbles for a few minutes up to an hour , depending on the viscosity and the hardening time of the resin.
