Hello and thank you for your comment. The Keypad 2 Pro can either be used with batteries or with a permanent power supply. As there are different compartments for the two usecases there is no possibility to use permanent power supply but have batteries inserted as a "back-up". Best regards, your Nuki Social Media Team
Not feeling this for the price. Keypad 2 mounted in a custom made surface mounted wooden block is a cheaper route and in my case more aesthetically pleasing than digging a hole in the wall or frame that may change in a few years as technology changes.
Can I make the wired installation with the batteries so it can still work during a power outage ? Thanks
