    Glad it’s not just me who likes peeling glue off your hands…. And yes I silicone my wastes in and the same parts on a toilet….also tried without and yes they leak! Rubbers are so thin sometimes and the castings of the cisterns or basins aren’t always truly flat so can never guarantee a good seal without silicone. Keep up the good work mate… always good to see another plumber who’s honest at what he does and not play to the camera! Nice one matey! Marc.

    Decent install 👌
    As the bath waste goes into the soil stack a shallow seal trap will end up being sucked out and smell coming through the trap.
    As space is limited under you could of fitted a straight through valve such as a hepv0 or viva variant under the bath then no chance of tbe trap being sucked out.
    The bath taps I always put silicone under them as matter of course and I fit top hats .
    Not overly keen on them flexys on the taps being curled up like that makes them prone to leak over time.
    If you'd lowered the hot and colds down then you be able to have them without any flex on them !! But hey each to their own 👍
    As a matter of interest why do you choose to fit k uckle waste bends as opposed to swept bends ? Less prone to blocking and easier to rod if it blocks

    • @Heatking
      @Heatking  3 месяца назад +1

      Cheers for the comment 👍🏼👍🏼 I’ve put lots of baths on soil stacks with the shallow bath traps and never had an issue with it being sucked out. Even my one at home is. With the bends, customer supplied all materials other than the press fittings on this. 🥰

    Unfortunately lad you cutting corners.
    The idea of putting flexi on the front of the bath was a good idea now how are you going to fit & connect your bath taps .
    Any how keep up the videos.

    • @Heatking
      @Heatking  3 месяца назад

      Yeh you’re right I was initially going to do that, but then thought this bath should be able to slide out. However once I’d fit the tap. I had a leak on the flexi so had to get behind it, and thankfully could. I’ll show you lot when I go back to second fix 👍🏼

    You did mention. If the taps need changing. The bath would need to be pulled out. That's not going to happen with the bath siliconed in. Bath is never coming out.

    • @Heatking
      @Heatking  3 месяца назад

      It’s a catch 22 situation, I always install my baths how I’ve done in this, I didn’t want to risk not siliconing it if that makes sense. As it happens on this one I can reach down the right and hand and get to the taps even in position.. thankfully. I’ll show on second fix 😂

    • @Justplumbingandheating
      @Justplumbingandheating 3 месяца назад +1

      @Heatking its good that you secure battons to the wall. I've been to callouts where customers say they have a water leak. Attended and found gaps between tile and bath. Corners of the bath against walls is the worst. Does not matter how much the legs are adjusted. The corner will be sloped.

    • @Heatking
      @Heatking  3 месяца назад +1
