@RCKahuna150 I do now, but only since my technique improved to the point where I pump efficiently and properly shift my weight backwards as I glide to hold height on the mast better.
Ah ok, being lighter seems like it would be an advantage for this sport! I'm 180 lbs and using the Armstrong APF1880. Recenty got toe side and heel side turns figured out. Working on increasing duration next.
@@FoilFanatic42 I started with the Axis 1310 and for whatever reason, I could not get it to work for me at all. I struggled with it for months. Then took a chance and switched to the Armstrong 1880. Literally the first jump off the dock, I was able to pump out, turn around and come back. It was a short run of course but game changer for me. I've been improving ever since. I have a v1 high aspect 1325 that I'll try off the dock sometime soon. I've been able to pump it will while out winging. Speed is the key.
@bryanadams5027 Interesting that you had a hard time with the 1310 as well! It's pretty technical to pump and being so light, I found it hard to manage the lift at times. Glad to hear you were able to get it with the armstrong setup!
I think this front wing is two much slowing down by the 19mm mast, you have to put a lot of energy to keep your speed.. I assume you could magically reach 10 minutes with the UHM mast which is 13,5mm at the bottom. This is a theory.
I would love to test that theory out! I haven't experimented with the thickness of masts personally, but it's probably an upgrade I'll do soon. Do you have the UHM?
@@FoilFanatic42 No I don't, way too much expensive! And I don't have the 1401 neither, I have the 1310. So as the 1310 is very slow, I think the 19mm mast is ok with it.
@@FoilFanatic42 You will never get second hand on this mast, nobody will sell it, because it's just the best mast on the market, and you could not find any better... So nobody will resell it. But it is really good...
Ripper. Impressive. Nice job buddy. 😎 🤙
Thanks man!
Well done! Your form on the 1401 looks good!
Thanks!!
Do you feel like the pump-pause-glide technique helps conserve energy significantly? I’m beginning to experiment with it..

Those shorts must be woven from Aluula material for sure!
Nice progress!
Thank you!
Great work! How much do you weigh and which tail are you using in this video? Thanks for the content!
Thanks! I weigh about 140lbs (64kg) and using the skinny 50 tail. Really liking this setup 🤘🏼

@@bryanadams5027 I would be curious to try an armstrong setup, especially their HA line for pumping! Have you tried an Axis setup before?

Great effort 🤙👌😳
Thanks!
123 BPM is very impressive. I would easily be > 150 BPM. Thinking I need more of a Glide Phase to keep HR down. Great to watch your progression
Thanks! Yeah, after watching the footage I definitely could have been more efficient, so there should be plenty room for improvement!
Nice work on the 2 min, great to see! What fabric do you have in the shorts and what length?
Thanks boss! Straight cotton, 7 in inseam 😎
Calvin helps for shure 😂
It was all Calvin if I'm being honest 😂

@arnaudnaiwko I agree, it is very expensive. If I get one, it will definitely be second hand from marketplace.

@@yvonvite_AXIS That makes sense. How was the UHM compared to the 19mm aluminum from your experience?
