Totally agree, the game is hideous now, No heart or soul, no characters in the game whatsoever, glad we can watch these vintage games cuz I won’t watch any of today’s games....

What a fantastic upload, amazing look back to the stadium atmosphere then, the 65.000 crowd must have been the last time this stadium was ever so filled...

Brian Moore was a legendary commentator but he always called Ajax after the bathroom cleaner

Clough should have patched things up with Taylor before he died but he was too stubborn.
All this 'I still miss you badly, mate' stuff that Clough came out with after Taylor's death doesn't wash with me.
    That's guilt talking.
Clough had eight years where he didn't speak to Taylor and that's plenty of time to realise he missed him and to do something about it. But he didn't and Clough suffered for it both emotionally and physically for the rest of his life.

We all have these regrets, buddy. Things we should have said, but didn't. Times when we should have kept our traps shut but didn't. You're right, though. It eat away at Cloughie, unresolved regret and guilt do that to the human soul.

What a great voice..This guy was still commentating when I was a kid watching football in the mid 90's he definitely contributed to me loving football... Euro 96 and Michael Owen goal against Argentina in 98.. such a distinctive comforting voice we don't have intelligent, articulate people commentating on football anymore

1:44:30 "Arsenal have scored in the last 2 minutes" That was Arsenal winning 1-0 at Juventus to go through to the cup winners cup final. What a great night for English football.

@@Roscoe.P.Coldchain Double european champion, assisted the winning goal for the first european cup whilst being tightly marked by 2 defenders, scored the winning goal for the second european cup. Won 23 caps for his country. I'm not sure what else this fella wants. He was world class for his time and thats all you can do, you cant compete with players who came 40 years later you can only be judged in your time. The OP's comment is idiotic and disrespectful. Robertsn was the proto-type inside forward, playing the way modern players like Ronaldo do, but 40 years earlier, which makes him precisely 40 years ahead of his time in 1979. I'm not sure what else the OP needs from the guy but his comment is ignorant to the max.
