Wow, very impressive and fantastic result! I think your hard work and patience really payed off. Disassembling and re-assembling an intricate watch seems like a huge challenge!
Thanks so much my friend! In all honesty, the actual disassembly and reassembly to bring a watch back to life is reasonably approachable provided you have good eyes and lighting (or a microscope!). The difficulty for me has been getting things running well!
@@JackSpiggle You never fail to impress and I can see that you're always trying to push yourself further. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing your future projects!
You did an amazing job! Great that you could overcome the warping and the weird rings on the sunburst effect, it was absolutely worth it! I personally couldn't tell that it's a custom faceplate!
Thank you so much Greg, I really appreciate you watching my videos 😁. Maybe one day the electronics will be back, I still have so many unfinished electronics projects sitting around! I am still unsure how I even solved the weird rings but I should have seen the warping coming 😅
Thank you Kenny! Really appreciate the comment 🥰. Once I am more comfotrable in my abilities to repair I will be sure to show even more of that process then!
I am surprised to see you pick up on that! It was an unintended little feature as I didn’t expect the brushed rehaut to be so reflective but it definitely adds an extra layer of depth to the face! Thank you for the comment
You are really up to something here. I love how you apply your skills and at the same time are not afraid experiment and to fail along the way. On top of that: who thinks af a moon phase watch these days? Genuinely impressed by your creative work. Very well done.
I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment here Rik. Definitely always trying to push my skills and let me tell you, watchmaking has been the most challenging frontier yet but I am determined to keep learning! Thank you again
Hahaha thank you 🙏 fun to be doing new projects! Not quite sure “king” is warranted here though, just out here trying to do my best impression of the greats 😁
Much credit and respect to your perseverance, watch’s i imagine would be notorious for obtaining a professional looking finish which you look like you’ve achieved, there’s a total multitude of watch brands and all their features and finishes we are spoiled for choice and expect so much. Well done for achieving what you did.
Thanks mate! It takes a lot more time doing the videos but I enjoy sharing 😊. And hey,I just checked out your channel and your content looks awesome! I have been trying to find channels like yours all throughout the past year, what is youtube’s algorithm doing!?
@@JackSpiggle I don't know but it's showing me the same Always commercial featuring a grossly overweight black lady ice skating over and over again so I know it's working to improve Procter and Gamble's DEI score without disaffecting their customers! 😂😂😂 ruclips.net/video/QJfdnYMyvPs/видео.html
@@JackSpiggle practice makes perfect! I love the design of it, most modded watches are either too gaudy in my eyes or just look like submariners with different colours, your designs are much more my cup of tea. Keep up the good work!
@@IMarcoMI I am in the same boat, I completely get why people like them but the more popular dive watch and homage mods are not for me. Honestly, the gaudy ones I can sometimes get behind though as it is harder to find those elsewhere 😉
This was a really well done build! Thank you for showing the fails, it helps with morale for others that are doing similar things to see that people don't just succeed on the first try. 21:17 "You can see how much dirty grime is coming off" as apposed to clean grime. 😛 For the automatic framework, a stupid suggestion for the stamp would be to fill it with solder and then laser engrave the right model onto it, so you can use the better one.
Thanks so much David! And there were plenty more fails I left out but have to keep the video light ;). I don't know that I would be able to match the finish if I redid the stamping. In all honesty, I could just ignore that the movement number is different as no one is likely to be back in there besides me but something about all these solutions just feels off. Not much rhyme or reason to what I wanted to keep original in such a frankensteined watch!
Bit of an obscure one the 6347, kinda the moonphase is using up the floor space used for the day wheel on the 6349, the 6349 is just a sexed up 6309 in the same way the 7S36 is just a tarted up 7S26 lol I don't think it matters as keeping any of these out of landfill is a worthy job, yesterday I finished my latest Seiko project a homage to Bell & Ross's radio compass, didn't have a spare NH35 so I just used a NH34 :P
Yeah I was really surprised how little actually changes between the 6309, 6349, and 6347! Makes a lot of sense I guess and you can tell some of the 6347 parts have less thoughtful design behind them 😉. I too, need to find something to do with my extra NH movements, did you share your build anywhere for inspiration?
Thank you Rogério! I tried to tell myself that the imperfections make it feel handmade which is true for 99% of things I make myself, but not a watch dial. Will keep striving for perfection!

Incredible work! Looks absolutely stunning, especially compared to the original face and case
Thanks Colfox! Haha yeah, I’m sure there are people out there that love the original look but I personally like this a lot more 😉

Just amazing, you are very talented and you should start your own watch company because I would pay a lot for watch like that
I really appreciate it mate 🙏. I’m still hoping to make more of the mechanical apple watches from my last video but it is very, very slow going
awesome!!!
Thanks Toby! 🙏

@@JackSpiggle I already had edited my comment cause I did regret point defects in a such good design. I'm just too perfectionist. Hope you understand.
No need to apologise, I appreciated the opinion! I forget exactly what was said but it didn’t come across as rude or anything
Fantastic explanation buddy, been thinking of doing this myself. I wonder if an NH36 could be modified?
Bring back Nanorobotgeek :( Cool stuff though :))
Wow, this name brought back some memories, thanks for the comment! Nanorobot geek is still in my channel description =‘D.
