Watched like a million vortex tutorials and didn't understand one of them. Then I find your tutorial and it is so easy to understand. It took me no more than 20 minutes to learn this because you explain it so well. Thank you!!! 😃😃😃
Hey hoopers, love vortex breaks? then check out this video of 4 vortex variations ruclips.net/video/9QyE_u7OTGA/видео.html! Let me know how it feels in the comments below.
I just started hooping (literally just started this month-May) and I FINALLY got how to bring it up (started with the hoop on my waist) now my problem is bringing it back down. This tutorial just solved my problem!! Thank you!! Lol
First of all, I LOVE all of your tutorials! Second, when I attempt this move, I can bring the hoop up from spinning at my waist and I can also bring it down when starting from a lasso. However, when I try to keep the vortex going continuously rather than in segments like I am doing now, the opposite of the hoop form where my hands grip it, dips down really low and catches on my butt when I try to make it smooth from up to back down. Do you have any recommendations about how to fix that problem? (I typically use a 36" polypro LED hoop) Thank you so much in advance!
Yes you can play with timing, turning and hand placement to keep the hoop moving in the space you want it and so it doesn't catch on your body. If the opposite point is catching then try bringing your hand closer to your body so you are positioned in the center of the hoop more. If the hoop is lagging and catching be mindful to keep the motion continuous so that there is no point when gravity can take over. Good luck
