Tomas keep up the good work Linux academy is a life saver... i am currently busy with AWS cloud practitioner Certification course i must say the tutor really delivers excellent content. thank you
That's funny. I was just thinking that while listening to this video. I recently rejected an audiobook because the reader's voice was really annoying. Too bad because the book is a classic.
I'm not in a business but I want to learn about AWS to use it with my personal IoT projects. I'm pursuing electronics and comm. engg. currently and need a cloud platform to use with my IoT projects. My main role is programming the microcontroller being used in the project. What certification/course would be helpful to me? Can someone help?
If you are interested changing into an IT career, especially when you do not have IT Experiences, I would recommend you sign up for a Free Tier AWS Account. Follow the basic startup experience following AWS documentation. Maybe take a Foundation course with Linux Academy and work towards AWS Certified Practitioner and further. Listen to the video around 15:40
How many people who study and get AWS cert actually get a job right away? I keep hearing how "AWS is the new direction" and know people who studied night and day and got AWS certified, but have not heard anyone say "I got an awesome paying job with my AWS cert".
You say it is possible to go into the specialty exams with just the clowd practitioner. But is it practical with say a long time network engineer to go directly from the cloud practitioner to the network and security exam. Or should they still do the associate practitioner first?
I don't have any experience in cloud. Can I still appear for cloud practitioner exam ? BTW I have 6 years experience in development in IT. Which certification should I opt for ?
Is it possible to do the Solutions Architect Associate certification without AWS official course? Having the knowledge, can I just pay for the exam only with Linux Academy course?

Would it be unwise to take the sysops before the solutions architect? He mentions essentials also. I don't see that anywhere.
