and thanks again for everything Hugo! Glad to know you're doing well! I will be waiting for new videos from you! this is inspiring! in that world...@@myleicam8546
I've always liked photography and a got into it a little when I was studying. The friend who got me into photography gave me a camera about 7 years ago which I used for a bit and put away. He sent me a link to this video... I get the camera and.lo.and behold... It's a lx3!!!!! You've just inspired me to get back into photography and I'm really happy I have a capable machine to learn again on! Thanks!!!
Thank you Carlin for your comment, Im very happy you find the video interesting and inspiring. And yes, you have a great little camera to play with!! Enjoy it!!
Great video! I just got a black Lx3 2 days ago after watching one month 2 cameras RUclips video, and now I'm excited to try colour photos on raw too, I have light room classic. Thank you for the inspiration!! : )
I have a Lumix LX2. And the first time i took pictures with it i was not expecting too much. This camera has become my favorite for street photography. Even with the time you have to wait in between shots the images i got back where amazing. At least for me, looking for that ccd look.
It happened to me too, I give the camera to a friend, updated for a more modern Sony Rx 100, and some years later I rediscover it from a new perspective, appreciating the ccd sensor and unique lens.
What a lovely surprise ! Hello Hugo ! I agree, a lot of people are looking to buy a small camera that fits in a pocket, an everyday camera. As my old Lumix is broken, I am thinking of buying an old Barnack Leica. Of course I am still hesitating for the switch to analogue ! The future will tell me what to do. Greetings, take care, Roger.
Hi Roger, great to read you again! This Lx3 is a serious toy, and it have charm. After using it, I decide to purchase a Voigtlander 21mm. Im learning to love wide angle. You are talking serious words, an old Barnack Leica! You can't go wrong with it. For me, analog is a leg from the photography table, I enjoy it a lot, but the other tree legs from the table are digital. The editing is so much easy. Greetings, enjoy and take care!!
I have had the same experience. I bought this camera not long after it came out, and have been very happy with it. I moved on to DSLR, then Micro 4/3 but have always kept this little camera around. I watched the same video about this camera recently that you mentioned and pulled it out of retirement. My son uses it when we go out shooting and I love the pictures it can take. It is my backup camera. The pictures it can take don’t compete with a modern iPhone if you look at the cameras screen, but take them into a photo app and I’m always pleasantly surprised at the quality. My copy is not in as good conditions as yours though, the lens cover is long gone and it’s been dropped a few times but, it really is a joy to shoot with. Thanks for making the video. :)
Thanks for your comment! Mine has a few accidents too, dropped a few times… but in the video it still looks good. I agree with you, is a great little camera. Keep enjoying it!
Geat you have you back Hugo. Missing your amazing voice and pictures. Great little camera. Just what im looking for! Getting one today for 40€. Great company for my Leica M! Always good stuff from you! Your dog looks as special as your gear :-) Have a nice!
Hi Hugo! So nice to see you back! I've owned the LX3 before and I was always happy with it. I recall that I was pleased with the B&W images and it was the camera that make me really love the 24/25 focal length!
Hi my friend, thanks, is nice to be back, the dog keeps me very busy 😅 You are wright, is not just another camera. Is special. And after use it I purchase a Voigtlander 21mm for the leica m. Becoming a wide angle lover!
You are right, very nice images! I just bought a lumix lx5 (I think almost the same ccd sensor), really looking forward to using it. Also you can put a wide angle lens (adapter) on top of it for even wider angle shots, so it's a very flexible little camera.
I own a lx100 mark 1, is a bigger and heavier camera, but also a more capable one. The ccd sensor in the lx3 gives it a special charm. I f you won’t to have only one camera, the lx100 is great, but if you already have a serious camera, them the lx3 is perfect companion.
Cuánto me alegro. ;). Abrazo!
Hola Fernando, muchas gracias.
I went from an LX3 to an LX7. Everything is so much better than the 3. The LX5 wasn't such a jump from the LX3 so passed on that one. The LX7 is still my go to camera even though I have a couple of older Nikon DSLR's. Still have the LX3. Will have to give it another trip out.
I never get tired of watching your videos,
probably a million times already! thank you for everything, many thanks

My goodness, I can't believe if that's really out of this camera. I just can't man, photos like these are too deep and emotional to be true

I think only the lens are different, more reach in the lx5. Enjoy it and thanks for your comment!
I have the lx15 and it’s also amazing plus it’s great in low light with a 1 inch sensor - very hard to find them second hand
The 1 inch sensor from the LX15 seems a great improvement. Enjoy it!
I really like that camera. It would be interesting to compare it with the Lumix LX100 mark 2. 😊

Gracias Zoltan!! Im back, the dog keeps me busy ;-) This DMC-ZS3 looks good, great zoom. Enjoy it!
Just made a review of my lx5, such a great series of camera that flies under the radar!

The JPEGs out of this are not so great. My Pentax MX1 produces a pleasing retro style jpegs. Maybe, i should try shooting in RAW?
Hi. Is true, colour jpgs are not great, I use the b&w ones. But I mostly shoot raw and in post adjust the white balance. Them the ccd sensor shines!
