  • This video see a journey deeper into the Hunter Valley and into the Liverpool ranges to capture triple class locomotives on Ardglen banker duties.
Beginning at Musselbrook, an Aurizon coal train hauled by top and tailed 5000 class locos 5009 and 5003 pass by and then following not long after is QUBE's ore train with QE003, MZ 1437 and RL 303.
Now moving to Ardglen sees the Morre explorer begin its decent from Ardglen to Willow tree and beyond. After that a PN coal train headed by 9303, 9203 and TT 131 is captured grinding up the final few 100 meters to Ardglen, as the back end of the train comes into sight Ardglen bankers 9030, 9025 and 9024. As the trio pass by, they detach from the train and come to a stop just up the line from the crossing. After the crew changes ends of the engines and the crossing is manually set off, the trio head back down grade to Willow tree loop where they will wait for the next coal train.
Next up sees a PN coal train headed by 9304, 9205 and proving mid train assistance 9320 begin their downward decent towards Werris creek.
After this sees another PN coal grinding its way up grade with 9312 and 9213 on the head with 9306 providing mid train assistance along with the trio of 90 class bankers on the rear, sees another coal train to the top of Grade up to Ardglen.
After pushing the train, the 90s are once again captured dropping down grade back to willow tree ready for the next coal train.
following not far behind is 2 C44s and a TT as they begin the downward decent with dynamics howling.
to finish up, PN's cotton train with 8237, 8223 and 8254 on the head, thunder by as they continue their climb towards Ardglen.
