Like this video and subscribe to see more our our adventures! We hit the largest cavern on the east coast, the largest maze in the Mid-Atlantic, and the highest peak in the Shenandoah National Park. Pretty exhausting weekend, but well worth it!
Hi, I followed you here from fare drop. I also, subscribe to Kara and Nate. I’m from Nashville, Tn, but I live in Chicago. You were here recently. I’m just gonna binge watch all your videos so I can get up-to-date. Talk to you later. Happy trails!
Thank you for helping me get even more excited about my upcoming trip to Luray Caverns. Great content! Have you been or are you considering Costa Rica?
Funny enough that was going to be our very first trip together in 2020 but it got canceled. We've been working our way back to try again, but if we do it will be like how we did SE Asia and travel from country to country in South America on our way there
Thank you! So hard to shoot in there with the lighting. Just glad it turned out decent and you can kind of get a feel for the expansiveness in the cavern
Great video! Suck you didn’t go to the caverns sooner, they used to have a stone staircase at the original opening that you went down, and they’d periodically turn off the lights so you could see (or rather not see) how dark it is!
Hey guys I think Iearn something new every time I watch one of your videos 😁 The maze looked fun, I liked the editing to be able to see both of your experiences. The views you hike to were amazing!
Thank you so much 😁 I went back and forth with how to edit the maze part without it dragging on for too long. I feel like it worked fairly well with the split screen.
How do you animate your text?! Its AWESOME I thoroughly enjoyed this informational, entertaining video! Thanks for sharing, I feel prepared to visit :) The maze looks awesome! I saw it on Instagram and think i voted for Sara lol ! We did a maze similar last fall in our Frobergs video, but we got a map! I don't think we could have gotten out if we didnt have one haha I love the hiking shirt, Tony! Great video, yall :)
thanks! so I make the text in After Effects. It's fairly easy to do just a bit time consuming. starting to get pretty quick with it. I think a map would have helped us both a lot! Always got to have flair when going on hikes. I have a few more Tshirts to break out before it gets cold
Haha, so how long did the maze actually take you guys? I know we both would have been so screwed, to the point where whoever had the drone would have cheated and flown it up haha. Looks so hard! We went to Luray Caverns and had an amazing time but missed out on the maze and Hawksbill! That's reason enough for us to go back, that area is so dope and Luray Caverns themselves are the coolest I've ever seen. Great video guys, although I'm a bit jealous of that Airbnb stay. Looks like exactly what the doctor ordered right now. Cheers -Seth
We went into it wanted to keep time but we both forgot to start our clocks. Feel like it took me, Tony, maybe 15-20 mins and Sara came out about 10 mins after me. I definitely started thinking about cheating with the drone after about 5 wrong turns. The caverns are cool for sure. Between the wishing well, the reflection pool and the organ there are a little hidden treasures in there. Our only grip was just the just the amount of people there. We got there pretty early and it was like moving through Disneyland to see the caves.

Awesome video !!! Well done !!!
Thanks a lot!
I have been there countless times. Love it
We've been when it wasn't crowded and when it was and it felt like two completely different experiences!

awesome--mammoth cave and carter caves are cool ones to visit as well
Cool, we’ll have to check those out!
Fantastic video, those caverns are beautiful 👏👏

Ah, that’s cool! We toured Grand Caverns in 2020 and they turned off the lights at one point. It was awesome. I wish Luray still did that!

Its totally worth going on skyline drive i love big meadows and luray
Skyline drive is such a great stretch.
Really nice hike!
One of our favorites so far. Thought we were going to be disappointed with the fog and the clouds but it cleared up and revealed the landscape
@@TheDetourDuo that's awesome! We really enjoy making outdoor content also
Very cool. I always make Sara get up early so we can catch sunrise without the crowds whenever we go on a big hike
OMG, We love this video!! We visited here back in 2014 before we started making youtube videos. We will definitely visit again. Thank you for sharing.
You should! Your content in South America is so good. We should switch right quick. haha
Great video!
Thank you so much!

Love it! It's actually pronounced "loo-ray".
Thanks
Wow looks stunning 💕
It really is! A lot of the hikes in the park are pretty short too so a nice sunrise or sunset is easy to get to.
Didn’t know that about caves vs caverns
Took me a min to figure out a way to explain it that made sense!
How long does it take to walk the caverns?
Around an hour if we remember correctly. If it’s really busy it may take a little longer to walk through.
Definitely not going anywhere as close as y’all to the edge of a cliff. No yeeting for me
Haha it wasn't that bad. I'm scared of heights and I managed. It looks worse than it is, but below the cliff is a hill
