Well, I do hit 314kmh in my inline-5 swapped rally vivace, but not on gravel. This is impressive. Which makes sense if the lady is a rally driver :D
@@mrtymek Indeed, even going 130 to 140 kph on a rally stage in BeamNG is moderately terrifying, but she's doing upwards of 160...

On game pad with new counter steer system is still feeling like death is waiting on every corner
You have no idea the jump scares you get, while casually yeeting a track car around in multiplayer. Imagine being focused on your lines and braking points, and then some child in a rocket propelled ram bus, going 200mph the wrong way down a straight away, and is suddenly right in front of you as you accelerate onto the straight, and then tears through your car, both startling you, and spinning your ffb wheel violently. Those jump scares, plus the ones from people trolling you by dropping things from above you, are truly startling. Also obviously this isn't an every day occurrence in the multiplayer, but it happens and damn, the ptsd is real.

@@getsideways7257 Yep, and you don't even know the half of it, so here's a wildly long response to give some insight to what the experience is like.
I really enjoy the chill and fun driving with friends environment that the multiplayer gives you, and while it's got it's flaws, the multiplayer works good enough for competitive close racing, if you have an especially good computer and fast internet.
I've gone so far as to join a competitive BeamNG Rallying and Racing discord server and have been partaking in the competitive races they offer for about a month now, and it has been amazing.
Public lobbies will be chaos at times, people don't always take the game seriously which is exactly how you'd expect it to be with how the game is portrayed on RUclips, however, private modded servers, with working relatives, starting lights, flagging systems, janky but working weather and track conditions, all alongside like minded players, all with ffb wheels and decent knowledge of tracks and cars, leads to genuinely the most realistic and fun sim racing I've ever had the luxury of participating in. And the multiplayer is a free mod as well, my wheel was expensive, but damn is BeamNG a steal for 25$
Anyways to continue, people truly do not realize how good it is to race in BeamNG, there's better racing Sims out there for sure, and the game is missing things, it's not supposed to be a racing Sim, so they've been focusing on adding maps, cars, and various game engine and quality of life refinements to it instead, which has been great, but there's no tire wear, tire thermals, track thermals, or weather, and there's a huge limitation of processing power, for me on a mid tire gaming laptop, something that can run Space engineers at 80fps max graphics, I get 70 to 90 fps alone in BeamNG, but with 10+ cars in a server, 30fps is a stretch depending on how complex the car we're all driving is. The most complicated car in the game in terms of beam count, the Sintillia (probably wrong spelling), for example brings my computer to a crawl at under 10fps, when you try to race 10 of them. (If you have a high end machine you can manage but my point is BeamNG is easily the hardest racing sim to run, and that is it's largest limitation, alongside the fact that internet's not always perfect for everyone and desync is disasterous in a close racing environment)
I should stop rambling but my love for this game runs deep and it doesn't get enough credit as truly no other game compares. As a last example, no other game simulates period correct muscle car racing better than BeamNG, infact nothing comes anywhere close, as by the end of a truly competitive muscle car race of 15+ laps, your brakes are likely cooked, you might be overheating the coolant as well, and maybe you ate a curb and bent a wheel, tie rod etc, maybe you bumped someone with your tank like boat of a car and lose cooling entirely, or maybe you've been driving through extreme damage. it could be as bad as loosing a wheel and leaking oil, a broken driveshaft etc, or as tame but annoying as immense vibrations from a bent rim, slightly bent alignment, or something as simple as you're missing a mirror, or your windshield cracked, and sure, maybe another game can simulate some of that, but then there's the dude that was behind you and had to pit, putting them far behind the pack, because your lost mirror, is sitting somewhere on track and it went and blew their tire, and such as racing goes, you kept going, but they had to pit, and truly nothing else can do that. That level of immersion is nowhere else.
So yeah, this is way too long of a comment, but BeamNG is king of immersion, and offers racing that other games can't even touch, plus stupid racing like with the pigeon, semi trucks, busses, derby cars, Incredibly realistic short course trucks, tow trucks, etc, the list is endless. Ultimately I'm very happy as the game is slowly getting the recognition it deserves, it's community is thriving, and these days it's seen as a true driving sim, the best up and coming racing sim, and no longer simply a car crash game. BeamNG has potential, and with every update that potential is further realized and just think, BeamNG in 5 years, is going to be a site to behold, and by all means, it already is.
I have almost 1000 hours in BeamNG on a sim rig and I feel like most people don't know how hard it actually is to push the limits of the cars in this game. Great skill! I'd love to see some more BeamNG videos, cheers!
I have 1,400 hours on keyboard/controller and it's probably one of the hardest yet most rewarding simulators I've ever played. Cannot wait to get a wheel at some point lol
@@smileyguyz Please do! Along with the multiplayer community it makes it SOOO much more fun. You can find people to race with, or just go out for a cruise. I've had a Logitech G920 for about a year and a half and it's probably the most fun per dollar I've had in a while . Cheers!
im currently sitting at 6,300. 1000 of that being on a G29 wheel. forever changed my experience

I still say this is secretly the best rally sim. The vehicle dynamics of the car's body flexing and shifting weight over bumps, some wheels on the ground some not so you get weird power delivery sometimes, the fact that if you touch anything your car is done, and damage to the car actually affects it in a location specific way like if the steering is bent. It's just next level.
If only it had a proper rally mode.
It'll be the best rally sim because it's not trying to just be a rally sim. The tarmac physics of dedicated rally sims will naturally always fall short of dedicated circuit sims, and the reverse is true. Because BeamNG's focus is modelling everything about a car universally, it'll be both an amazing circuit racer as well as an off-road racer, which will mean hyper-realistic physics on ALL surfaces.

It also might be secretly the scariest horror game out there.
@@epeli-beamng4801 For reaaaall. I really want tire physics to actually be a thing other than just stretching with rotations. I want to be able to warm up my tires, or have the tread slowly shit away over time if you're running knobby ones on pavement.
the steering isn't that realistic,but the suspension,the damage of the car's body and the way you can damage some parts of the engine and drive train is very good at realism.the only thing that needs to be fixed is the aerodynamics with putting a wing and the steering

I have to say that after playing lots of racing games, BeamNG somehow feels the most " natural" to me. For one the tires, suspension and grip feel great and give some feedback ( most games just feel like driving a piece of butter on a plate, and the other thing is that you have the constant worry about the cars health. No wallriding or even jumping a curb in this rig :)
I really want to know your thoughts on BeamNG and it's physics, vs titles like Dirt rally. Obviously without pace notes of any kind, it's hard to call BeamNG a "perfect" rally sim, but I think in terms of the raw physics and the capability of the feedback engine, BeamNG is the best there is in terms of how the cars drive, however I've just had fun with my Subaru out in the snow, I ain't a real rally driver, never driven the real thing, or tried BeamNG with a motion rig, however BeamNG rallying with wheel, feels better than everything else to me, so what do you think?
there are mods that add pace notes, which makes it so much better.
Richard Burns Rally is still miles ahead in the term of physics, give it try.

@@racerwilson152 Modded, like RallySimFans with NGP 7 physics. I tried all available racing games and RBR is the only one which feels like you are in control of a heavy thing which is actually moving on wheels. Not difficult, just natural, organic, and very predictable once you have after some kilometers trained.
Not saying RBR is absolutely perfect to be clear.
And yes, I am an RBR nerd, so I am biased a bit, admit :))

As a professional what do you think of the suspension modeling?
I always enjoy seeing the frame and body flex when rock crawling. I assume the vehicle here is quite stiff but I'm curious if this feature is noticable? Especially in a full-motion rig

also, that made beam ng look alot better at rally than i expected, add in the insane damage model/ physics and this is getting close to being a contender to the big name rally games, lol. just needs pacenotes and proper stages.

Many are commending for clean driving with flawless car in BeamNG, but what's even more impressive to me is not only that, but also you did it so fast without a Co-Driver reading pacenotes! Really impressive track knowledge, especially considering all the cuts you took throughout the whole track :)

They added some.
But you also can just go in free roam, open the map, look for a nice stretch of road and declare it your current Rally stage. Drive to your chosen start point, set HOME, take a deep breath, and start suffering.
Seriously, it's one of the most intense and fun ways to experience some Rallying in gaming.

Would be really interested in what a professional racer has to say about the physics in beamng, if possible with disregarding the set up for the car.
Its very good, one of the best if not the best
beamng has worse a bit worse physics then asseto corsa. Because beamng has kinda bad areo physics. Also it is manditory to tune every car before racing. Those tunes are made for controller and keyboard players.

I can't tell what beamng drive map this is but you definitely neep to try the pikes peak map (moddd) it comes in gravel or tarmac. Gravel is my favourite and its bloody challenging. At high altitudes the car starts to struggle in the game

I'm gonna have to give that map another shot. Never realized that the high altitudes had an effect on a car's performance in BeamNG drive.
@@CrashForce I'm not 100% sure it's the altitude or me just destroying the engine as the run is about 20 ish mins (been a while can't remember how long). I'm gonna test that tonight too. Maybe an electric rally car would resolve that issue
@@toasty8547 the car does loose power with altitude. Beamng actually simulates the atmosphere, which is quite insane lol

It's amazing that it got famous for being basically a tech demo for a physics engine rather than what it is, which is an insanely enormous driving game with some of the greatest open world maps ever made.

I am no rally driver but I played many racing games and sims... As well as Beam NG. Well I stopped breathing all along. It felt like seeing someone running super fast without ever losing balance when you know the surface is icy and slippery as hell. Mind boggling.
