Before the s3 I had the Samsung Exhibit 2, which was my first smartphone. But even before that, I had the Upstage, which wasn't a smartphone necessarily, but wasn't a flip phone. I now use the Flip 3 and S23. Been with Samsung since.
just look at how these two devices aged: iphone 5 gets the newest updates and runs great and doesnt lag samsung on the other hand didnt even update the s3 long enough and it lags like hell and sucks today more then ever, my iphone 5 runs great!

And, yeah, the on screen buttons are your opinion so I'm not gonna try to convince you otherwise. Owning an iOS device since the first iPod touch came out, I personally think Apple did a nice job of improving the UI of iOS. However the fact that the UI is so old grew on me when I saw my friend sport a galaxy SIII. I personally think you can do alot more stuff on an SIII than on an iPhone 5 given its multiscreen flexibility. Yes, I own an unlocked iPhone 5 and I'm planning to trade it for an S4 in the near future.
I prefer anything with a removable battery because, in case you didn't know, batteries hold less charge the more you use them. Like after about 500 charges it'll die out noticeably faster. Hence why I hear everybody with iPhone 4 complaining about their battery life. When my phone battery is starting to die out and doesn't hold a charge, I just simply buy a new battery for like $20. Plus I can buy extra in case I'm on the bus or something and my phone dies since it'll be a backup/emergency battery.

Also note the battery life on both. From the beginning to the end of the video, the S3 loses 4% battery while the iphone is still the same. This is coming from a S3 user, the battery life is total crap and it takes hours just to charge to 100%. I am going to get an iphone soon.

I have the Galaxy SIII and my wife has the iPhone 5C. She is complaining often about the screen size mostly and certain limitations due to proprietary limitations by the manufacturer. She purchased reading glasses last week to help her view the small screen on her phone. I love my SIII, because it is fast, reliable, comfortable in hand and has an excellent screen size for reading and viewing videos and pics in 720 & HD. I also love the fast text swiping, which I can complete a full page paper of text using the swipe feature in no time. There are so many Pros with this phone I will not list them all, but I tell you this... I refused to purchase the Galaxy S5 last week, because I didn't feel the need to move further. I also have the Galaxy Gear 2 watch and it rocks as well interfacing with my Galaxy SIII.
I'm not using samsung phones again. I went from S6 to 6s Plus because I don't want to deal with screen burn in problems, the 3 hours battery life, waiting forever for marshmellow (canadian S6 STILL DOES NOT HAVE IT), and the constant small lags I get while browsing while taking pictures and while going into menus. Seriously Samsung, if your machine is so good why can't you get the user experience better? I am now a fan of Apple after using android phones for years. the iPhone is simply amazing, completely lag free 10 hours sot, great display that actually look much smoother than AMOLED, and I can rest assured I will get future updates upon release. 1000 bucks totally worth.

I don't think he said iPhone wins, he said it's very much a personal preference at this point. iPhone apps WILL load fractions of seconds faster because Apple maintains personal control over everything, resulting in a slightly smoother, all-inclusive experience. This, however, becomes a handicap in the way of options and customizability. At this point, the biggest deciding factor is whether you use Apple products or Google products more. Communication across devices is incredible when you go for either all of one or all of the other.

The reality? Samsung phones are android phones. Iphone owners don't want android. Prone to virus, inconsistent OS performance, slower internet browser. And the build quality of those are cheaply made from plastic, what ever we say plastic is still plastic (Except for Sony's Z1 and few others). Yes, android phones are improving their hardware specs and other features(snapdragon 800, adreno 330, 3 Gb ram). But why can you still experience lag? For me, that's what they need to develop. Android is better but iPhones are more optimized.
galaxy takes forever to charge iphone charges fast. I still use my galaxy I wait until it got to 20 percet it took almost a hole day to charge. I wait until iphone got to 20 and i charge in 2 hours.

Great JOB at comparing a big screen to a small screen, and completley diffrent processors. Big screen takes longer to load due to the fact there are more pixels to load. Therfore, making it slower on the SGSlll. And faster on the Iphone 5.

I have the Galaxy SIII and my wife has the iPhone 5C. She is complaining often about the screen size mostly and certain limitations due to proprietary limitations by the manufacturer. She purchased reading glasses last week to help her view the small screen on her phone. I love my SIII, because it is fast, reliable, comfortable in hand and has an excellent screen size for reading and viewing videos and pics in 720 & HD. I also love the fast text swiping, which I can complete a full page paper of text using the swipe feature in no time. There are so many Pros with this phone I will not list them all, but I tell you this... I refused to purchase the Galaxy S5 last week, because I didn't feel the need to move further. I also have the Galaxy Gear 2 watch and it rocks as well interfacing with my Galaxy SIII.

I'm not using samsung phones again. I went from S6 to 6s Plus because I don't want to deal with screen burn in problems, the 3 hours battery life, waiting forever for marshmellow (canadian S6 STILL DOES NOT HAVE IT), and the constant small lags I get while browsing while taking pictures and while going into menus. Seriously Samsung, if your machine is so good why can't you get the user experience better? I am now a fan of Apple after using android phones for years. the iPhone is simply amazing, completely lag free 10 hours sot, great display that actually look much smoother than AMOLED, and I can rest assured I will get future updates upon release. 1000 bucks totally worth.

It's exactly how it is. iPhone maybe be expensive but in the long run you are much better off and you save money by not having to buy the latest phones every 12 months. Invest in the 64 or 128 16 is a joke

I don't think he said iPhone wins, he said it's very much a personal preference at this point. iPhone apps WILL load fractions of seconds faster because Apple maintains personal control over everything, resulting in a slightly smoother, all-inclusive experience. This, however, becomes a handicap in the way of options and customizability.
At this point, the biggest deciding factor is whether you use Apple products or Google products more. Communication across devices is incredible when you go for either all of one or all of the other.

The reality? Samsung phones are android phones. Iphone owners don't want android. Prone to virus, inconsistent OS performance, slower internet browser. And the build quality of those are cheaply made from plastic, what ever we say plastic is still plastic (Except for Sony's Z1 and few others). Yes, android phones are improving their hardware specs and other features(snapdragon 800, adreno 330, 3 Gb ram). But why can you still experience lag? For me, that's what they need to develop. Android is better but iPhones are more optimized.
Lag ? Just if you have a shitty phone or something else. I don't have lag on my Galaxy S3 and you won't have lag on any high-end android phone.

Great JOB at comparing a big screen to a small screen, and completley diffrent processors.
Big screen takes longer to load due to the fact there are more pixels to load. Therfore, making it slower on the SGSlll. And faster on the Iphone 5.
