Awesome video! MSPs rely on effective PSA tools to keep things running smoothly. Pair those with robust cybersecurity, reliable backups, and Thirdlane Multi-Tenant PBX for secure and seamless communication.

Keep up the great videos. High quality. Well wrote. Informative without all the extra bull crap, just what you need.

I work for an MSP that have never used any kind of PSA tool. The first thing I mentioned to the management team was that they were working in the 1970s, and they didn't believe me when I told how easy I performed my tasks and work at my former job using CW Manage. So now they have finally started looking into replacing old legacy systems and manual tasks with one single PSA system doing all of it. Connectwise seems to have priced themselves out of the running, and the management team have a sweet spot for Halo. But my testing of the demo environment of Halo only have me missing CW Manage even more. Manage might be a bit more expensive, but as you say they have a feature rich and mature platform. Halo seems a bit "thin" or lacking to me. 😞

I'm currently on DATTO PSA and it has been frustrating. Was thinking of moving over to Connectwise but then my tech showed me this video and I am now looking to see if Halo is more suitable

We’ve just moved from Autotask to Halo, 100% recommended (once you get everything configured right).

CW needs legit competition. I don't see us ever changing but there is a real opportunity (CW sold for $1B to TB) for a great startup...

There's definitely space for a modern competitor to come in, still tonnes of opportunity out there!

We're currently using Syncro, & the platform works well, but is a little immature. There's a lot of features that I would like to have that aren't there, & other features that have no business being in a PSA for MSPs.
I'm definitely looking at moving to Halo PSA in the near future. Especially since Syncro does not offer any project management.
What RMM solution do you recommend pairing with Halo? Or does Halo include one that I'm not aware of?

No RMM included in Halo - The best I've come across so far has been N-Central.
Overall I think they'll cost more than Syncro, but both of those platforms combined should be everything you need to scale up to any sorts of numbers.
I hear a lot of people tend to grow out of Syncro at some stage.

We use Ninja RMM with Halo which works well too. Ninja is extremely powerful. We tested directly against Datto RMM.

Do you have any other recs for a ConnectWise alternative? I'm just starting a new small MSP (2 agents) and I can't seem to find anything that closely resembles CW. I'm happy to spend some money, but I can't yet afford the $250 / month minimum. I checked out Halo, but as you said, they are now requiring an agent minimum that I also can't afford. If you have anything, please provide an affiliate link. Thank you!

Atera isn't a bad option for a startup MSP.

You can still get Halo but it does take some time to set it up. Ping me a message and I can link you up!

The question is, what RMM could you use with Halo PSA? I mean Connect Wise got everything at the same place but to run an MSP you'll need an RMM like Syncro, Ninja or whatever. In the end, I'm wondering, what would be the best option. If you have an alert on Syncro, how can you trigger script to run from Halo PSA? That's the only "deal breaker" for me.

It’s no different from any other vendor to be honest.
Even though connectwise has RMM, it’s only LabTech rebranded after CW bought them years back.
Most of the mainstream RMMs will work across other PSA solutions 👍🏼

      NinjaOne has integration with Halo

    • @owly-pi

Ninja doesn't even have historical monitoring data. In fact: almost no common RMM has it for whatever reason. It logs all alerts, but why not log everything? If I wanna see how much space my servers C: drive had 3 months ago, I can't look it up? That should be a default feature for every monitoring tool.

What are your current feelings towards your PSA? (And which one are you using?!)

  • @Nobody2day553

Well, not for growing businesses of all sizes... growing businesses of 10+ users..

    • @NotaBusinessCoach
      @NotaBusinessCoach  Год назад +1

All sizes I'd still say... I've got clients with 2 users working just great

I'm just taking shit because they have a 10 user minimum. Don't mind me.
