After install, does it or keys need to be programmed, or is it plug and play?
So much questions about this install.
Viewer: “installed my new pcm now what!???
What about programming it after you install it? What if someone want to buy a used one at the wreckers?
Definitely need reprogram
na just did mine. match the RNA number right and you wont even know it changed
@@BuildBreakFix
Did you do it with the 2010 model?
@@BuildBreakFix you matched it completely and nothing had to change?
@@BuildBreakFix are you sure no reprogram at all?
Do you not have to program it with a computer after you install it? Honda is telling me my ecu is a 1000 dollors and im looking on line and i see them for 200 bucks. would it work if i put a after market one on it. They are always saying, only put honda parts in them or it mite not work, or are they just lying to get more money.
Doing in do you have to reprogram it or can you just put it in to start the car right up and start the car right up
was there any reprogramming required after installation?
What did you find out about this?
If you were doing this to your own car, clean off that filthy battery tray and battery before reinstalling.

Jairo Barba Yes You Do Have To Get It Programed . Make Sure In Back Of Ecm The Top Numbers Match Your Replacement . A Lock Smith Can Program It .
I was told the computer needs to be replaced on my friends 2005 honda civic. I have worked on cars growing up (so im good with wrenching) but have never replaced this. Is it similar to this model to do? They want so much money to do it, id rather help the friend and do it myself so wondering is all.

Yes you need to reprogram the key. Unless you buy a used ecu with the immobilizer and key then it's plug and play
Is the ecm of the cruise control version different from the non cruise control version?

@@joelshimp yes for sure... I just out a new ecm in my honda accord after a bad flash tune and my transmission won't shift out of first gear unless I manually shift it and my AC doesn't work
