  • Raglan is a coastal town in the Waikato region of New Zealand’s North Island surrounded by coastline, natural bush and beautiful nature surrounds.
It’s known for the long surf breaks, good food, great coffee, amazing arts & crafts and a great place to chill and vibe.
In this video, I'm taking you to explore this vibrant town with its wharf and bridges.

Lovely video! Really well done and really shows the vibe of the town, WAY better than any other videos I've tried to find showing Raglan. Thank you for creating this! Will check out your other stuff!

Wow! You bring back childhood memories. Use to go fishing on that wharf on a Sunday. That extension arm was built there to accommodate the bigger cement ships from Golden Bay Cement. My friends father was the local harbor master and was also a boat builder, we use to help him sometimes if the weather was no good, often we would take to boats out go sailing, or cruising or cruise over to the other side and go hiking over the sand dunes.

How did you go about getting permission to fly your drone? I'm coming over from the UK in Feb, I here NZ is very strict with drone law!

Droning in NZ can be a bit tricky, but as long as you follow the rules you’ll be good.
Best thing to do is to download the airshare app - this will give you areas where you can or can’t fly and any requirements you may need.
also what I do is always go to the local council’s website and find their drone rules - I normally follow this with a call to ensure I’m ok to fly in the area.
Last bit is go to aviation.govt.nz and check whether you need additional permissions or not :) , hope you have an amazing time flying your drone in nz

@@AlldyF that's great thanks very much. Your videos are fantastic. I will be visiting Raglan for 3 day's. I noticed on Airshare there is a big blue circle round Raglan? Tbh I mainly want to shoot at Whale and Manu bays.
