Plug in the wifi extender beside your router (This is just for setup you can move after)
and hold down wps button until it flashes
Then click the wps button on your router. Once all the flashing stops they should be synced. Now the wifi that needed a password should be unlocked and you get sent into the setup portal. And after setup you can plug into where ever dead zone is affected. And product should work as intended I hope this helps.
My router is eero and doesn’t have wps button
I followed your instruction and used the wps buttons and it paired with my Verizon router but it did not take me to the setup portal. what am I doing wrong? thanks

Can multiple extenders be used? Say one on either end of the house to extend the connection in both directions or do too many connections complicate the extender path?

My before is 160 MBPS on the regular WiFi and the extenders is 68 MBPS. Kind of a down grade. I just set it up so might have to return it
Hi! I had problems to connect the repeater to my laptop on the network. I followed the steps, but I had no network. I solved the problem by connecting my phone first on the network. Then I went back to connect my laptop. I hope my solution helps.

I had never tried an extender before. For me it was a night and day extreme improvement in both speed and reliability
setup page doesnt even pop up
I bought this July 2023, worked like a charm. Switched telecommunications providers 4 days ago, so I had to reset this wifi extender. Once I reset the device I could not connect to either the 2.4/5G netoworks. It says "connected without internet." I threw out the old manual, didn't think I needed to keep it as the initial setup was easy. Judging by the comments here, it seems we're all experiencing issues with this device.
I can't get it to work & the instruction manual is useless. This video doesn't help because I'm not getting any of the same options.
Does it automatically switch between the extender and your router?

You’re going to want to test out proximity. If it’s too far frog the router the signal will be too weak. I’d say try halfway and see how that works. Worked well for me
My wifi virgin media 1 gig fibre and from this extender I’m getting only 60mbps download and 34mbps upload speed , how to get 1 gig on this extender ?

Mine worked perfectly for a month and now when you connect to it it would work for an hour or so and just stop any connection. You need to unplug it and put it back in and the same thing will happen again roughly the same time later it’s a pain in the arse.

how to hard reset
My phone recognizes the 2.4 and 5g but the menu doesn't pop up instantly like in the video at the 59 sec mark. Setting up with laptop seems really difficult. Why is this so hard ?

@@chloeb9417 I bought a tp link AC1200 wifi extender from best buy , early black Friday deal for the same price as the Amazon one in this video. I downloaded the TP link tether app and linked it up , it works really well.
Yea same no portal for me neither and no help anywhere. Even on my friends iphone it wont work. Just asks for a password like any other wifi connection. Cant get into the portal page to actually set it up. Ffs i can log into any wendys free wifi in america but not one wifi extender.

So I must own a phone worth hundreds of dollars to set up a fifty dollar extender...................that doesn't make cents.
This seems to be a pretty hit or miss product. Ive had many extenders in the past and none have giving me this mucb trouble to set up. Seems some people have zero issues while others like myself do.
Its trash. Had it for 2 months took forever to get to even function and it worked periodically and would disconnect and the lights flash and you have to set it up all over again. Pretty much useless, i ended up buying tp-link extender and it worked fine right out the box, easy set up and zero issues. Lesson learned on buying the cheapest extender... dont.

First step is a no go. The 2.4G and 5 G networks are both locked. I need a password to open them. Where do I get this from.

Press and hold the wps reseet button on the extender. It will reset the extender and password would be removed

How do I factory reset this device
There is a WPS/Reset button on the front of the unit. Plug the unit into the wall. Wait for the system light to flash. Hold down the WPS/Reset button for about 5-10 seconds. Release. Wait for the system to reboot.

@@Charlie-xd1vj nah I gave up for now. I will try again in a few months at my parents house to see if the extender is the problem or my wifi/modem/router settings. I find it hard to find a solution with so many possible suspects

It’s asking for a password and it’s NOT my wifi password😢
Watch my video again and follow it closely! It asks for your password for the Wi-Fi. And then it uses that same password for the extender. Let me know if that helps! Triple check your upper and lower case and all of that. Case sensitive. It can be a tad tricky at first.

One of the reasons for that might be that you have your routers WIFI MAC Address whitelist turned on and you haven't included the virtual MAC address of the device you're trying to connect to the internet. . I was unable to get Internet access due to having my whitelist turned on (In other words, only devices that have their MAC address listed in the whitelist can connect to the router).
If you turn the whitelist OFF you should see the internet light come on and have access to the internet through the extender. HOWEVER, the added security of using the MAC address whitelist filter will be disabled if you allow ALL MAC Addresses to connect to your router. I still have not been able to find what the virtual MAC address is for each device I want to connect to the extender and router.
