- Need to fill in large asphalt/concrete cracks? Here's how I fixed my aphalt tennis court cracks. This Epoxy-Coat product is designed to be a permanent fix and cures stronger than the base material. Epoxy-coat also makes epoxy coatings for garages/shops and I've used their epoxy coating for my garage in the past. This video is not sponsored, I purchased the material.

great work
and nice video
Thanks!
Epoxy fillers are excellent…. There have been a number of versions out there for many many years …. 👍👍👍
Agreed. Epoxy is versatile stuff, counter tops to garage floors to fillers.
Good job thank you so much
Most welcome 😊
Very cool! Thanks
Great video. I have now done my 150 driveway, 3 times. Tried a bunch of products - Rustoleum Patch, the rubberized Airport brand. None work that well. Looks great, next year open cracks, small red sand ants will reappear 🥵. Winter and asphalt shifting, water does get in. One BIG rabbit hole and a yearly maintenance task like most!
Yes, hairline cracks showed up on one side of the epoxy to asphalt joint after a winter cycle but I expected that. This is much better than any previous products I have used.
It’s been a year and I am looking at doing this for my tennis court. Just wondering if this repair is still holding up.
Yes it has. The epoxy is still solid. Hairline cracks have formed on one side or the other against the asphalt. Which I expected.
My opinion is that you will continue to have cracks develop since that slab is huge and will expand and contract with temperature changes. It would need rest on a flat bed of sand to not crack as it changes size. An alternative solution would be to use expansion joints.
Yes, valid points. I do expect to get hairline cracks that will need to be filled. From those that I talk to in the tennis court industry they say its an annual maintenance project to seal up the small cracks to prevent them becoming big ones.
Yes, what you say is correct. The crack may return. Therefore, I have a question. I live in West Asia. My question is: What are the extension cords that you mentioned in the comment, or what is their type? They may be available here in our markets. Give me information about the name of the material or its type. Thank you in advance
I'm looking to do a Pickleball court in my backyard, would you recommed ashpalt over concrete base? If I did go with ashphalt. what proofing can I lay down to not have to repair it so often.
Hi there
I strongly recommend concrete if you don’t have a very high quality asphalt available. The concrete needs to be reinforced with appropriate steel bars and both expansion and construction joints (not necessary in case of post tension concrete).
You can get professional instructions through ASBA (American Sports Builders Association).
Acrylic topcoat is the best application for the top surface coating when you were done with the concrete or asphalt.
Thanks for sharing is this product resistant to shifting, it does not seam to have any flexibility
It is not. It solidifies to a hard material that doesn't flex.
@@NaterTaterDoes that mean that it ends up cracking again? I'm trying to find the proper fix for asphalt cracks in a commercial parking lot
@gmasc357 the epoxy hasnt cracked but its possible. What is likely to happen is the joint between the epoxy and asphalt will open over time. I dont think there is a solution that doesn't do that (unless its bubble gum tar).
Hi, how is the pave patch holding up a year later on tennis court? Any weeds showing up again thhru the cracks? Also, I have similar situation with long and wide cracks on tennis court and want t try this out. What do you think about aquaphalt 6.0 ?
The pave patch is doing well. A crack did emerge on one side of the patch to original asphalt over most of the distant as I expected. So there is now an opportunity for weeds or other growth in there. The pave patch material itself is holding up well its just that the asphalt as a whole is shifting and thus causing the crack. It needs a quick tube sealant probably every other year to maintain it.
What’s the name of the product and where is it sold near penna
Link is in the video description and pinned comment
how did it hold up?
It's only been a couple months and currently snow covered. Ask in 6 months.
Can you give an update on how the repair has held up?
The epoxy looks the same as the day I applied it but over winter it did get a hairline crack on one side or the other along the asphalt. Overall I am happy and it is way better than before. I think I had one small weed manage to sprout this season that I plucked out.
What does it look like 1 year later?
Overall holding up well, the asphalt did expand/contract enough to open up a hairline crack on one side of the epoxy filler as I expected. So it will need a sealant applied for me to not have weeds find their way back in there this year (had none last year).
I've been working in the tennis industry for over 30 years. Court maintenance has been a chunk of what I've been involved with. Would you like to chat offline with some possible ideas to help you out?
Sure thing! Use my contact form on my website www.natertaterchannel.com/#wpforms-96
I mean as long as it is your personal court, good for you. If you’re charging someone to repair their court like this, shame on you.
Very nice upkeep
