I tried cutting an 8ft piece of plywood yesterday on my table saw and the damn piece couldn't move anymore a couple feet in. I turned off the machine then turned it back on. I adjusted the piece of wood slightly left and right. I adjusted the straight edge to no avail. Then I watched this guy create a table saw from scratch! I'm definitely sticking to my day job lol.

  • @DaRkw1ngCS2

Nice little package. Handy forsure. If anyone else is planning on doing this. I would suggest just squaring the circular saw base and ensuring that the blade is 90 degrees to the table and just plunge cut the saw into the table top to creat a zero clearance "throat plate".. much safer to use.. another idea is to actually cut out a place for throat plates to go so you can have zero clearance and also be able to cut bevels. Thanks for sharing your work.

Brilliant! This is the way all RUclips videos should be made. A fantastic product which is introduced at the start to show what the finished product looks like without 10 minutes of useless, preamble chat and making you sit through a 20 minute video before you find out what is being made. Some great ideas and techniques, loved every minute of it. 👍👍👍

Well done to you sir -- this is the first sensible built table that clearly displays an emergency switch isolator and a guard on the saw blade -- you clearly have displayed a good grounded knowledge of health and safety to show others how to build a safe work table -- Well done !!!! Have you seen some of the builds on youtube by complete novice DIY builders designing positively dangerous ideas of how to utilise old tools . Then the people watching go and build one having been shown no safety aspect integrated into the design .-- THIS is a great table and you have clearly displayed Health and Safety

Not criticizing, but wouldn't it have been easier to just cut all of the metal plates to the same size (the size of the largest one needed) and then you could drop in whatever tool you needed and secure it with it's matching plate?
Just seems that would be a bit easier.

When it comes to building one of these in a video, the viewer should assume that the builder can build it perfectly given the free reign of time.
No where in this build did I see "Come build this saw with me in less that 15 mins on your day off!"
I surely couldn't build it any better in the same amount of time and I would feel rather idiotic once I realized I criticized him for making a crooked cut.....especially when I looked in my profile and saw that I've done NOTHING even close to this awesome build and then had 12 EFFING MILLION people view it!
It's more about the process aka journey for the builder and all about the finished product for the viewer.
And if you can criticize this guy, let us see YOUR work so WE can "cut" loose on ya after we "saw" your errors.
      LOL!

It's a wicked idea! Think I'll build one this weekend with some spare tools just so I have a portable all in one setup.

You're awesome brother, you cant even buy such a tool, not only can you make and sell but you give the process away for free, kudos to you! Such ingenuity gives me hope for the future, just check out super capacitors made from hemp fiber! Say whaaaaa?!

Man that is pure talent. I've thought many times about just building my own table saw. But that's about as far as it gets. But never nothing to that extent. That was very inventive and interesting to watch. Very ingenious time savor. I don't know if u can buy a 3 and 1 unit like that. But I've never seen one. So im sure u could market it and make a fortune if u haven't already. Great job man.

I like this idea... I'm thinking of repurposing the bottom half of an old China hutch. I want a multi functioning work bench/table saw/ tool storage. I'll be using a few parts of this in my build.

Nice table size for onsite work.
hope he can design one with rolling cart with one end side fixing the mixer saw, another side fixing a thicknesser one level below the working table surface. bottom corner of the cart are cabinet for bit, clamp, consumable and loose hand tools like nailer, sander, airless paint sprayer, vaccum cleaner, generator.
one or 2 carts design to carry all tools to the site.

this is by far the most practical homemade tool ive seen on youtube. maybe not the biggest, maybe not the most precise (but im guessing its damn close) but it does a little bit of everything and it does it well. nice work!
