    I like that you covered both some of the common pitfalls or areas to avoid as well as positive advice of where you could start or interesting brands to try out. Honest and comprehensive all round too - good stuff! Appreciate the shout-out for suffering drop-shipped clothing too haha

    I used to wear a bit of hiking wear (as opposed to hikercore) so I found a good match when I looked into techwear around half a year ago. Some of my first pickups is the Uniqlo blocktech parka, a pair of 20usd black skinny cargos, and a Kioxia USB stick that I strung up to make a necklace out of. Still hoping to slowly grow my wardrobe in the future but at least those initial pieces helped me define a silhouette I really like.

      Hiking apparels are always a great place to start off any functional wardrobe! It does take time but I think the process is building a wardrobe is really fun to so hope you will enjoy the process ^.^

    I like lite Techwear, with a futuristic/functional bottom and a t-shirt and vice versa. Good for 90 degree weather, and not looking too edgy

    While I'm a fan of techwear, I do sort-of go for more of a miltech style (BDU's basically) since it's what I'm used to and comfortable wearing considering the years of being in the military. Warcore is, imho, an irritating form of cosplay, especially since most don't actually have combat experience - but to each their own. I do wish I could find actual "tech" wear though, in various materials and patterns that obfuscate surveillance cameras (IR, NV, and Normal) as well as provide various things like cable management / USB cable extensions within the clothing. There was a guy that did a SQL injection attack using his license plate as well as another that used QR codes to install a small game; I wonder if the ideas could be merged?

    • @Rockastorm
      @Rockastorm 4 месяца назад

      That sounds more like "hacker clothes" than techwear but still sounds cool. There's a hoodie (The Camera-Shy Hoodie), I read an article on a little while ago that blinds cctv cameras.

    this is a really good video, touches a lot of good points. i think its important to understand that techwear has so many depths different to something like streetwear, be patient and take your time building your wardbrobe and outfits.

    • @Ruey14
      @Ruey14  2 года назад +4

      Spot on. There are so much layers and depth into functional wear which makes it both unique but can be very intimidating for those who just got started out.

    my favorite "look" in techwear is not the super baggy bottom look. i like a more tailored fit for the bottoms (it's okay if it's a little baggy but at least it tapers down) and i'm okay with medium slightly oversized tops. i love the pants that i see at 7:03, but i don't know enough about techwear to know if they're actually "tech" wear. do you know what those are? do you have recommendations for techwear that is of quality but more of that look? for me, i feel that stuff like acronym is too puffy or baggy in the pants for me.

      i dont know if you still need this information, but those pants are usually the copy-pasted pants that every drop shipper sells. Generally not worth the money. For something similar in appearance you can get the 042 stevens by reindee lusion, but they arent very breatheable, perfect for the upcoming winter though
