I found something that works for me. Before you plop down on the ground, its nice to have something under you that keeps the dirt off your back. I was given these plastic palets that they put under concreate blocks at construction sites, when delivering and storing blocks on bare ground. I got two in the trunk now. Size wise they are 2'×2' and easy to carry, sturdy plastic, injected molded and washable. No more cardboard for me! I got enough for the other cars in the family too.

My 6405 has had the same probs, including a stripped fuel pickup cap. After about 6 tank pumps it just stripped, went on great but just wont tighten or well at least stay tight anymore. Tractor goes through those pickup pumps like crazy, even had Deere come out before to check it out with no more help than I could do on my own, its so bad I keep an extra in the cab, no more factory JD pumps at $178, its $18 ebay replacements for me from now on, last the same from my experience. My screen is always squeaky clean every time I pull out the pickup as well so I know its not crap in the tank. Gonna try replacing the cloth hoses like you showed next and hope that stops the my pump problem, tractor only has 3100 hrs to boot. This is hands down my new favorite youtube channel, so glad I came across it, keep up the great work man..

great video. On your hose replacement, double male the old and the new and use the old line as a fish , just draw new line until it comes to the connection point, remove the double male the mystery of the path is complete. Love watching the true life of a field mechanic !

Hey man I love your videos , I was a Deere Ag master field Tech for 24 years . What we found the problem to be on tractors and sprayers was contamination in the fuel system caused by micro particles that made it past the filters and accumulated in the rail system . This will cause injector leak bye SCV valve on the pump as well as rail contamination which can cause differences in readings . Deere has a fuel flush tool that works absolutely awesome . It is a canister that has a filter in it and you poor this solution in it that looks like milk that Deere has , you hook the suction line to the pump up to the canister on the bottom and the return to tank on the top where it filters the return . Start and run the machine at various RPM's until the solution is almost gone in the canister . I will say this it works like a dream it never failed me . I do not know whats it the solution but it's some bad ass shit . Deere DTAC actually has bulletins talking about this code and what to do . Keep Up The Great Videos

My 7930 had the 1347.07 code, swapped all 6 injectors. It only ever did it on hard pulls uphill, getting to road speed with 25 tonnes behind it on level roads, the 12 foot heavy offset disk and really anytime you get really nice turbo spool up. Sounds nice but you always get the code. Why wouldn’t deere find a way to fix it? At least I’m not the only one with it

Love when when they call and explain issues/problems , then they later come back and tell ya more information about whats been happening. Its like you have to pull information on problems what been happening from them instead of them just telling you everything like yea I been having long hard starts at first startup but ok until next day. Things that if they would have told you at the start you could have gotten a idea what is happening and you dont need to go through needless steps and bypass them based on whats really been happening.Get that all time and why I always just talk with them and try to pull information from owners , like constantly ask same thing , you sure nothing else been a problem , starting , idling...nothing thats not normal . Still get some owners that later come back after I have narrowed it down and say oh yea I been having that issue sometimes too (Like WHY didn't you tell me when I asked several times) Sure it is their dime but no reason to do needless steps if you can be told everything where it leads you right to real issue instead of hours of troubleshooting .

I got a question for you or anyone out there. Please understand, we are retired and can't afford John Deere's or any name brand tractors. We bought an LS tractor for our small ranch. I understand they build for other companies including small New Hollands. Do I have to worry about design stupidity? So, 50 hrs, and no problems. None. I love the maintaining my vehicles so that's not an issue. Will I need to sell it before it gets old?

The best way to test injectors on those is a slight modification on that test.
If you connect to the injector return line like you had in the first test but run the machine at full rpm not idle you get a better reading
You should get approx 300ml to 400ml a minute, any more than that your injectors are dead.
That's how I always diagnosed 30 series and it always worked for me

You probably got along with the Father better than his own Son did-
and there's the animosity and distaste he had for you.
That happens a lot with people and their children, especially if the
child was spoiled; they grow up entitled and disrespectful, and no
respect of or for authority. Outside people see that, and side with
the Parent. The child sees that bond, and resents the outsider.
You respected his Father, the Father enjoyed the respect; he probably
spoke highly of you to the Son ("why can't you be more like him?").

    Warren-
A person who acts astonished when they discover you have bettered yourself
since they last saw you- indicates that they didn't think very highly of you before,
and they couldn't foresee you ever advancing in life. Like knowing a person who's
obese, then seeing them years later, trim & healthy. If we don't like someone-
we tend to focus on one aspect of the person we find distasteful; we
manufacture a "reason" to not like them, and if we then see that reason is
gone- it's hard for us to comprehend why we didn't like them, and admit
to ourselves how petty and shallow we are towards one another. Our
ego doesn't like to admit that we can be prejudice.

49:07 A piece of wire, long enough to go through the length of both the hose and the hose guard. on the hose end run a washer through the wire, then wire up a big nut behind the washer. Pull the wire and BAm,, the nut and washer will pull the hose through the guard but will stop the hose from pulling too far. I need advice from you as well, LOL. Got a Cummins with a fuel issue or two.
Oh yeah, ASBESTOS!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!! That hose is full of it.............hahahahahahahahahahaha!

the test dose work, you really need to people to complete it, and there is a total fuel return test, that's high pressure pump and injectors..
if you block off injectors one by one.. then run the engine at ideal for one minute no more no less, that will help norrow it down to each injector down
I no how you feel Warren I've been down this road keep up the good work 👍

Future ref for the fuel rail mismatch. If you dynoed that tractor you likely would be able to fault it every time when you pull it to its knees. Do the injector leak off test straight after Dyno. Watch the actual and desired rail pressures. We did this on nearly every 30 series 6068 we sold. 👍
