    7.3 is my favorite diesel. They’re tight in the vans but worth it! I just turned my bosses up to 500hp. Have fun!

    Great to see lance has all the tools to get this van into reliable condition so the party in beautiful isolation stays fun instead of dramatic disaster! The process to watch is interesting and fun✌️❤️🇬🇧

    Oil pan gaskets are such a pain in the ass. Per Ford you have to pull the motor and flip it upside down to let it cure correctly. Needless to say I’m in the “rather keep adding oil club” lol

    I don’t know if you noticed during editing but the ipr solenoid was on there and got taken out with the filter housing. Nice work with a tough job.

    Bout to pull the 7.3 idi engine out of my 91 econoline school bus. After buying and doing a whole new cooling system with new parts, turns out it has a cracked cylinder so after filling up the radiator all the water went to the oil pan. Over that damn engine. I’d like to swap a 4bt Cummins but a bit pricey, so if I save we will see, might just put a 350 Chevy in it and just get it running for now. Thanks for the vid, wishing I could find a girl to help me with my mechanical problems and be so supportive lol you guys are great, Zach from so cal

      Dang sounds like you’ve had a rough time! You could look into doing a 6.0l swap there’s a lot of information and parts for them not to mention they make good power.

      @@AllyandLance ya its definitely been a process lol, ehh i could just not a real big fan of ford motors lol especially after what ive been thru, thinking im just gunna wait and save up for a 4bt cummins and get adapter plate for the e40d

    • @zacharytaylor5809

      when you went to pull the engine i notice you modified the chain going over the top of the hoist to have more room, any chance you could explain how you did that ? thanks

    • @kirkjohnson2924
      @kirkjohnson2924 Год назад

      Why not a 6.0. I hear if you upgrade the oil cooler and Egr cooler and swap the coolant it will run pretty decent..

    Hey I know it’s a long time ago but I am just sundering if you guys replaced your engine wiring harness when doing your engine repairs? I am needing to replace mine on my 7.3 van and am having a hard time finding a van specific one, I just wandered if you might have some knowledge on this subject. Thanks for your time

    I cant believe that engine came out through the front. I would install new glow plugs and valve gasket/harnesses. Also make sure to only use genuine ford motorcraft parts, all the aftermarket stuff will fail.

    Just replaced my IPR, for the second time. I was able to pick one up from advance auto parts. I can get part # if need be.

    Ally So the Little Orange Flat bed Truck comes in handy for moving the Van about in order to work on it. Coolio Go Lance Go! Wow wee Ally a 7 year Apprenticeship wow! You will be a Pro-Fetch-chin-al. ha ha Lance I'm old and slow but I would think if you removed the Fan and pulley then perhaps, maybe, possibly the Motor may Gain room for better Maneuvering. Ally I just Love the Orange Avenger Truck to the Rescue... Lance new thinking too Late but setting the Motor on a tire in back of the truck bed makes it stay up right nicely. Old People think they know everything stupid Old people Lol Shew wee I can Breathe again.. Great job Lance Great job Ally the Apprentice .Loved it Laterz Leland
