I've listened to Lora about The Morrigan a lot and it was really interesting to listen to you too. Would love more videos on the topic of bards and poems in ancient Irish society as well as your anti-hero view of cu chulainn.
GRMA, John. The more I learn about the Morrighan, the more fascinating she becomes. I'm also coming to appreciate that the Irish deities are multitaskers. I'm so used to the Greco-Roman setup of "This deity does this, that one has this job, and over there that deity has their own specialty."
I'm currently deep diving all the videos I see of yall's. These are all so fascinating and I am learning so much about them. They've been wonderful for me and improving my life in different ways. Pushing me hard. Harsh, but kind. The Morrigan I mean.
Thank you, Jon! This was an excellent message, and I needed it today. I agree with you about Her protecting Her pack. I'm one of the humans who needs a divine mother, but She has always made it clear to me that, while I belong to Her and She'll protect me fiercely, She's does not want to be a mother. And I don't want to be a mother either, so I understand completely. The Goddess Miluchradh offered to be Mamaí for me. The relationship feels so much healthier because Miluchradh volunteered eagerly, and I'm not forcing anyone into a position that doesn't appeal to them. Thank you so much for sharing your information and heart with us. I see your work, and it matters.
Loved this talk, and I just have to say that your shirts (which I just looked up) are fantastic! Honestly, this is the first time I've seen a deity shirt that I've liked. I fully intend on purchasing when I can - they actually look like something I'd wear!
Thanks Jon for your contribution in sharing your wisdom with us... You said something so profound.... ( raised as a weapon ) That hit my spirit like a spear.
As always, thank you for the entertaining presentation of incredibly educational content. And that T-shirt is epic. I'm so looking forward to getting one!
I love these videos. As a follower of Brigid I have a question about the Dagda. If I made Brigid angry over a fight we got into can I call on him or will he despise me for life?
Hi Stephanie. To date I have never experiences any 'hateful' energy with the Dagda. Anger, sure but almost always directed at injustice or unnecessary hurts. Personally I don't see him being the type of deity to 'despise' at all. As I talk about in other videos, our connection with deity is a relationship, and as we all know, any relationship worth having is worth investing in...and yes that does mean working through our conflicts where possible. ;) As for approaching The Dagda for support and maybe even a gentle intervention with his daughter... I wouldn't see that as impossible, in fact it might be very beneficial to have him onside. As ever though, we need to start the work in ourselves, understand out own 'why' and 'how' before we bring immortal energy and perspectives into the mix ;) Hope this answers your question GRMA Jon O'Sullivan
@@IrishPaganSchool Thank you for the reply. I was worried he would be angry with me for fighting with her. I had to work a little to win her back. I am still unsure if this is the right path for me so I don't want to be making things needlessly complicated by fighting with the goddess I felt calling to me.
I loved this video. I wiah we had more. info on The Morrigans son, because having a child who is so evil he has to be destroyed feels like there is a big chunk of story missing. I haven't seen a good explanation of WHY or who decided the child must die in order For Ireland to survive. And it does sound a bit of a parallel to Christianity so I wonder if at some point it was snuck into the lore so helo the story run parealle to the Bible, I want to know what she felt about the death of her child. And we are deep into World Series season, I truely love the shirt. Blessed be the bards who tell our tales, for no man really dies until his name and story is forgotten,
Well that's a very interesting video..some friends I had were into magic..dident feel comfortable with the morrigan .and took it very seriously...they said get to know the deity first...maybe a person might not be suited to the morrigan after 6 months .what do you think....
Just to be the resident internet weirdo, I have been told I am the daughter of the Morrigan, and everything you said about the Morrigan as a mother is spot on. Not exactly a hands-on mom, and basically put me through Her version of the Hunger Games for the privilege of saying 'I am the daughter of the Morrigan '. Also, your story explains why everyone, including 'Dad' is trying to give me a post-partum abortion upon learning whose daughter I am. I put these thoughts in a special locked box in my brain and they stay there. Don't bother saying, that doesn't make any sense. I know.
I dont have any expertise in any sort of magic...I think there are rules ..can you make a video on the rules..I would like to talk to the morrigan .but I dont know the rules .would a deity like the morrigan welcome that...can a deity reject you..
No I dont want anything ....iam interested because I think I saw her.some years ago and another female diety....morrigan here in england and the second one in ireland..I'm just trying to be careful Jones ..I dont know anything about magic.but I would like to do it safely. If I choose to ......so no promises on offer to the morrigan..just c how I go .thanks fiona
My experiance is talk, establish a relationship - the main question is what are what are you trying to accomplish and in what time frame . If you want something is your cause just in her eyes, are you showing respect and what are you willing to give/ show up for, A tip apply for membership in a facebook group called the Morrigan’s cave ( also IPS run) and ask the question again you might also want to check out Lora ó Brians old clips on her youtube channel ( IPS co-funder) on the Morrigan and how to approach her and know it’s her -though this right now is the main channel for this type of content.
Man, I've watched 3 videos now from this account looking for info on The Morrigan and have barely learned anything. Just giving the feedback, you guys are realllllly long winded and hardly get to the point of your content.

Hello. Thank you. I would like to hear your knowledge of Chu Chulainn.
The Dagda took her right to being a Mami n now she's my Mami n everybody's Mami. N she's a good Mami because she knows what Dagda folk do.
This is... an interesting opinion, for sure 👍🏻
Please go more into cú Chulainn

I really liked the video & also good poems on The Mórrígan. And I agree I don't like how people objectify her in art it's very distasteful.
