Hi! My name is Tim The Lawnmower Man and I love to clean up overgrown yards and make fun videos doing it. I'm able to do them for free as these videos have ads on them and the revenue from that enables me to cover my cost.
I'm always looking for the worst yards around. Sometimes I drive around looking for them, sometimes viewers send me suggestions.

When a tree is growing they paint mark on bark for identification, & tells you what direction to plant a tree. If a paint dab is on the south side of a tree, when you purchase it for your home, you should plant it so, the paint dab is facing south, it you change the direction, it might have problems growing. I hate thistle. It will fight you tooth and nail when you try to remove it. And, if you don't get all of the root, it WILL just grow back. Then it is time to employ some chemical warfare. Poke weed is another one that is hard to get rid of without an herbicide if it has had a chance to develop a good tap root.

Thank you for working on that yard. While at one point, about 3:35, I was trying to puzzle-out what you were recovering...it wasn't a planting bed but the front stepping stones to the door. A major thing to "lose" in overgrowth. I don't know the Red Leaved plant, guessed Barberry of some sort. Had no idea it had overgrown its boundary so much. That was an interesting trim, using your Trimmer, to handle it. Laughed when the buried utilities were uncovered. Amidst all the priorities, that is one not to forget to find. Very nice you are including people. This work is a treasure. A "lost" yard was taken back to form, with a combination of tools/skill/artwork/good intent/persistence. The owners will know someone looked out for them, they were not forgotten and they can come home to a place ready for use.

Another lovely job, Tim. Ugly to beautiful in 30 minutes and 36 seconds! LOL Watching you mow down that tall grass gave me an idea for a future video... There are gas-powered hedge trimmers with a long shaft and adjustable head angle (relative to the shaft). I think it might be neat to see you use one of those tools to cut down extremely long grass before using a mower or string trimmer, similar to a farmer cutting hay or other crops in the field. Raking it up might be a bigger job than if you had mulched everything with a power mower, but - on the other hand - when you do use the mower, there would have a lot less back and forth on the lawn trying to mulch all of that material and then pick it all up in the grass catcher. It's just an suggestion which you could possibly use in a future video. In any event, this was another beautifully-done lawn restoration and the property looked manicured when you were done. Well Done!

❤ Beautiful job on the grass and detailing but what did that poor red hedge do to you? Yikes!😂

Excellent team work and that grass was from H---. After all that trimming, raking, hand pulling and follow up mowing, I'd say the two of you did an amazing job. Congrats!
