What I caught was none of the cameras in the station were working. The cop told someone to call 911 because his radio did not work. OMG what a mess. I just walked around the peace and safety of my little cheap house in a beach town and felt so thankful.

You NEVER see cops on the trains, Mayor Eric Adams has cut over 1 billion from the education budget to go to the NYPD yet everyday police presence is absent on the trains. They are slow to react and even now with all the BEST technology robodogs, drones, MTA cameras, traffic light cameras other cameras from nearby stores they still can't find the attacker. Most of the NYC budget is allocated to NYPD if there is a spike in crime on trains that is where they need to be.
I'm no longer panicking over COVID-19, it's all of the subway & overall crime craziness in NYC!!! After two years working remote, we were asked to come in for one day a month for a team meeting starting tomorrow. That's been canceled luckily, but I don't know anymore about NYC anymore.

Facts this wouldn’t happen in a place like Kansas where anyone who isn’t a felon and is of age can carry concealed or open without a permit. Why weren't the surveillance cameras in the station working!? This makes it all the more difficult to ever identify and find the shooter who most witnesses will remember only after he put on his gas mask.
MTA needs to install these checking sensor point on the entrance in all the stations. Anyone enters with any kind of weapons, the alert will go on. Even if we have to pay extra for the fare.

You NEVER see cops on the trains, Mayor Eric Adams has cut over 1 billion from the education budget to go to the NYPD yet everyday police presence is absent on the trains. They are slow to react and even now with all the BEST technology robodogs, drones, MTA cameras, traffic light cameras other cameras from nearby stores they still can't find the attacker. Most of the NYC budget is allocated to NYPD if there is a spike in crime on trains that is where they need to be.

Why weren't the surveillance cameras in the station working!? This makes it all the more difficult to ever identify and find the shooter who most witnesses will remember only after he put on his gas mask.
MTA needs to install these checking sensor point on the entrance in all the stations. Anyone enters with any kind of weapons, the alert will go on. Even if we have to pay extra for the fare.
