I fell in love with Jesus Christ reading the Gospel of Matthew and Proverbs! Three years of learning and trusting and growing deeper in love is beyond wonderful to me! My favorite time with the Lord is when I can't stop crying, either in Church, at home or in my car, the Lord is always with me Amen ❤️✝️

I cam to the realization tonight that for me it was the mind that went first and the heart never followed rather than the other way around like he said where God is after our heart and the mind follows ... which explains why I have felt empty for so long and like something was missing. Problem is.. how do you experience God's love in your heart when the mind came first.

It's not necessarily a problem if that's the way you process things, but if you are noticing a hunger that is unmet then ask your heart what it says about nurture, usually maternal wounding will speak the loudest.
Does your heart believe it had to be strong to protect mom from pain? If so, your heart could believe your pain will hurt others and is too much for God. Does it believe it will be rejected? Then your heart will stay distant from God believing it will be rejected by God. Does your heart believe nurture isn't even a valid need? Then your heart has already rejected it's own need for God before you even get out of the gate.
It doesn't really matter what your mind knows is true, until the wounding that caused the disconnect is restored, it is like trying to pour water into a jar wrapped tight in plastic wrap. You won't be able to feel anything except you will notice others claiming they are getting filled and experiencing God's presence while you scratch your head feeling nothing.
There are some people who never feel anything, but unless you are one of them, it is likely that God is going to take you a place of restoring your ability to receive nurture first and the disconnect between what your mind knows and what your heart believes will reconcile itself as a byproduct.
Without really knowing your story I can't tell you exactly what the key will be for you, only that the key is there and that God is already preparing your heart to receive that revelation. A lot of guys are able to go their whole life without reconciling their hearts and minds because their minds are so strong and they can keep their feelings in an unrelated abstraction. But if you ask, God will help you recognize any way your need for nurture may have been blocked in your childhood.
In some cases that means recognizing an absent mother, or an overbearing mother who wasn't safe to lean into. In other cases it means recognizing your own judgements against the need itself, for believing the need was invalid, a weakness or threatening, causing you to build a system for avoiding it.
As you work through the areas of disconnect between yourself and your own ability to receive nurture as a child, the connection between heart and mind in your present faith will reconcile too.
      What does

Well you have to get to know God, and learning who Jesus Christ is and what he's done on the cross would naturally or supernaturally through the power of the Holy Spirit bring us to conviction in the realization of His love toward us and for us in what He endured on our behalf while we were still unregenerate sinners. I can't have feelings for someone I don't know, but being saved, regeneration was the best feeling and experience of my life. God saving me and lifting the veil, breaking the chains, breathed new life in me awe man His love is the sweetest, I can only imagine how much greater and more magnificent that will be to see Him face to face and in the glorious day of resurrection we will have glorified bodies and the initial deposit of assurance and experience we have only in part now will be merely a fraction of what is to come🤓❤️✝️
