Old Retired Trucker here; On that exhaust manifold leak, Good Catch! (Old School Diagnostics too!) Unfortuneatley a lot of Modern Mechanics are strictly parts changers that go by whatever their Computers tell them to do... but as you JUST showed with this LEAK, such is NOT always the case... a good old fashioned "HANDS ON" aproach is needed! I commend you for being diligent. 🏆

I have used Robert for repairs before and love is work ethic and honesty as shown on the video that we just watched he doesn’t just try to invent stuff to fix. He gives people an honest estimate and in my case, I thought something was wrong. He brought the part out, but I was wrong, and there is no charge for my mistake. There are some very good mechanics still out there..

What could be better than nice handsome mechanics coming to your home to do simple repairs. Rather than scheduling and the stress of taking vehicles into repair shops.

I've been doing mechanic work for about 10 years now, started out with absolutely no knowledge. It was basically keeping my beater running until I could get the money to buy something better. I found a love for it and have since worked on all sorts of stuff. Cars, trucks, boats, rvs, you name it. I even contract out from time to time, which is the best work I've ever had the pleasure of doing. I've found that a lot of mechanics out there are making a bad name for those of us who genuinely care. It's so refreshing to see another face out here who wants to help and do right by others, at the same time bringing life back to the skill/industry. Keep doing what you're doing man, I appreciate that you're already using your platform to help others as well. I feel like this channel will go big, and I'm happy to be along for the ride.

Yeah if you have o2 sensors specifically the downstream but could be the upstream also that have been changed recently and are throwing codes exaust leak is the first thing to check and the manifold is a good choice for the culprit.

Have you thought about using thermal printer and paper for your receipts? You would free up space. So they have A4 thermal printers now so you can print using full size paper and that allows you to print on all smaller versions of thermal paper from shipping labels to stickers. Never have to buy ink.

Man!! I wish I could find a mechanic like this guy, he's seems great! I got tired years ago with dishonest, lazy so called mechanics. So, I started repairing everything myself. I have an electronics degree, and I'm mechanically inclined, so it was so sort of easy for me to learn. I feel bad for so many that aren't able, for whatever reason. It saves me money and I know I did it correctly, and no extra hardware left over or things not put back like original. Good luck with your business.

You know its crazy how much more the guys up behind the desk make than the actual techs back doing all the work at most all shops.. and they try to say that they have to deal with the customers and decipher what exactly they are concerned about so the techs can do their job on the cars. But in actuality when you get the tickets they almost always say “customer states” like yea your job hard, my job easy.. lol. Being both the mechanic and customer service does have its advantages but when you bust your knuckles, watching your tools, stressing your back, hot and hot oil dripping down your armpit it gets pretty hard to put on the happy and friendly face to the customer and explain how they need x and y because of z and explain the ins and outs on a level most people understand.. patience is a virtue.. but is also a pain in the arse day in and day out..
