It is so refreshing to see someone who truly understands the benefits of Native plants and the benefits. We really need to ensure they’re safe. My husband spends his free time in the woods tearing down Invasive trees like Tree of Heaven and Honeysuckle it’s sad how hard he works and so under appreciated effort.
For me, I'm actually interested in both interiors and plants, originally. I think I would be interested in anything benji would do! Because he makes everything really beautiful and unique...
My dogs in Scotland were listening and barking at the dogs who are in the background in California, now that’s long distance communications. Very lovely garden . Thanks Benji
Benji, thank you for bringing us into your home and garden! Whenever you post a video I make a nice latte and sit down to really savor the moment. You and your channel are really something special! I hope you have a lovely holiday season! 🌲
i originally started watching your channel for the plant videos, but i’ve come to love and appreciate any kind of video you (and chris) make :) thank you for sharing your beautiful corner of the world ❤️ and happy holidays to you both and your families 🎄
Benji your house feels like it came out from a novel, like it feels a imagination aesthetic house. I just think how peaceful it would be around your house, and it's like all of your plants are listening to your words. The care and knowledge that you give us for the plants inspired me to have a house with lots of plants and be happy in life. In a busy city life your vedios begins me hope to try harder for a content future. Thank you for the vedio... Looking forward for more... And happy new year ☺☺
Im pretty sure the rusty metal thing shown at the 8:00 minute mark is a IPE profile, there are a lot of shapes with different names like IPN, UPN, etc, maybe in america there is another naming convention but these metal bars are is used in all sorts of construction, architectural and engineering projects. Be careful of the rust but otherwise good job on repurposing them as garden decorations
You probably know this Benji, but for your viewers who may not… Google lens has a plant identification feature. You may need to add more information on the sedge in addition to your photograph. I love how patina edging turned out. I considered using that, but I had a lot of area to cover and they got more pricey than I wanted to spend. My husband is an arborist so he brought home a bunch of limb-wood about 3 feet long and 3 inches and diameter. His ground guy install them for me vertically. About 2 feet in the ground and 1 foot above. It turned out perfect! I love bonsai… A friend gave me a black acacia about three years ago. It was about 2 feet tall. I planted it about two years ago in my tiny front garden. It’s now about 8 feet tall, but would be triple height width had I not kept it trimmed back. I remember when you got that baby doll bonsai. You’ve done an amazing jobnurturing that tree.❤ happy holidays to you and Chris, Theo and Winnie!
Hi Benji! Always nice to see a notification from you! I don't know what winter is like for you, but it's normal for irises to go dormant! Of course, too much rain can make them rot, but it's always better to leave them and wait for spring, grasshoppers too are inactive in winter. But again talking general rule and i'm a northern climate
🌳☀️🏠☕🌲🌙 Happy Holidays Ben, Your garden looks so green & calm, so does the inside if ur home. U put a Smile on my face as your vedio was ending. It's the Holidays, I miss all my family that have past, but as mentioned I ended with a smile on my face.
I would suggest trying out the gambelia juncea gran canon in place of the hummingbird sage. It will take sun or shade, and in my opinion it's very pretty. That being said it does not smell like anything.
Seems I do know how to send you a pic of my inside winter garden full of semi-tropical plants all in bloom here on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia Canada
If anybody is seeing this, after several hours from publishing this comment PLEASE REMIND ME TO DEVIDE AND REPOT MY FERN, IT'S HUMONGOUS note: it was from my grandma, it was pretty small just ONE year ago
Ughhh I would want to help you design your yard with plants. My yard here in LA is pretty much all full sun and your yard is shade to part shade which would be fun to use different plants from what I’m used to 😊
At my last apartment, I had a huge mimosa tree that stood over my porch. Never again! I love their cute flowers but the constant mess it would make was a hard no for me.
I think the Iris is either dead or supposed to be like that. In the UK here, we use Iris as spring bulbs (if I remember correctly) and they don’t come out until later on at spring. But I don’t know if LA even has seasons like that..
I remember the day you guys moved in to that house, you two brought a soul to this place
it's amazing how natural it all looks, nothing feels contrived or deliberately placed/grown in a specific spot
Your landlord owes you a lot!!! What you have done to that house and yard is amazing!
I was WAITING for new plants videos from benji, you don't know HOW MUCH happiness I felt !

Another calming video that I enjoyed watching. That bonsai plant looks amazing!
My two main interests are interior design and plants too!! Just because of that you’re one of my favorite youtubers
Happy Holidays! ❤

That's a rusted i-beam, hence it looks like the capital letter "i" in a cross-section.
Personally, I'm here for the Benji
Same same same

Merry Christmas..Lochness Scottish Highlands..
native mushrooms may like the native garden shade & help rematriate the soil too
What brand of shoes are you wearing in the garden? The garden is coming along nicely.
The big metal thing is called an i-beam. I hope you guys have updated tetanus shots.
How about hosta's in your garden? They would love the dappled light not sure of temp. requirement though. I love your hat BTW!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
yay
Wowo ❤❤❤❤
The trailing bonsai leaves look like Passiflora.
The Firebird looks identical to my Prince of Orange. Interesting 🤔

Does anyone know where to get those connector metal guard rail things for your garden? Thanks!
Could your bonsai be some kind of adenia?:)
Hi, what type of Hojicha powder do you like? I’m the same I don’t desire the taste of matcha.
benjiiiiiii
re sponsor: there are steel and glass straws available everywhere.....
Mimosa is a mess.
sad, everything is so sponsored.
How else is he supposed to make a living?
