I've watched from the beginning and thought, "How cool to do this!" then, "This is a lot of work!" then, "They'll never get this done." and now, "I am so impressed at the effort, the stick-to-it-tive-ness, and the grit they have shown!!" A project to be proud of. Keep up the good work! We are rooting for you both!!
Yes, this interior finish work is taking MUCH LONGER than we ever anticipated it would, which is why we've put everything on hold for the past month, to focus solely on it and get it completed so we can FINALLY move on to the next stage, haha. 😍
When I watched that video when you were on Elements in Sutton Harbour, Plymouth, where you told us about the self build you were going to embark upon………………………. And now there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Well done Matt and Jessica. You’ve come a long way since we met during lockdown in little Noss Mayo, Devon. Can’t wait to see you back on the water.
I thought anybody can assemble an Ikea flatpack desk when you unloaded the trucks....and somehow I changed my mind over time, thinking you and Matt are master assemblers. This replay just reminds me again of the effort and dedication to not only put it together, but make it perfect and beautifull. You rock
Guys, I’ve watched all of your videos from the start, this video has brought it all together and wow what an endeavour. You both are amazing people. Such diligent’s and perseverance on both of you, I am blown away to see the work and progress you have both made in this mammoth task. Lee going, I have greatly missed your weekly streams. RESPECT!👍👍❤️❤️🇮🇪🇮🇪
My daughter and I flew into the grass strip last weekend for a bite to eat. We took a walk around the marina and saw the boat. Very cool seeing it in person. You guys are doing great. Can't wait to see it splash. Thanks for sharing the journey.
I got caught when you were trying a test start on Element's engines. Matt has an incredible font of knowledge or at least E-resources; but hand me a seltzer, he could be dryyyyy.... It was your look of surprise and glee that made me look again, and stay! Keep up the work! No one else has ever worked as hard as you folk have on 3 boats
Hubby and I took a 15-week wood working class and built an armoire from scratch with no plans. I knew the overall dimensions that I wanted and went from there. We thought we'd finish in 1 semester, but had to enroll in a 2nd since the class was only 4 hours per week. Projects like this really tested our relationship since hubby and I tackle things in opposite ways. To see that you all are still together after 3 years of doing this immense project day in and day out is IMPRESSIVE! I'm astounded by your progress and determination to keep going. I also watch RAN sailing and it blows my mind how much work goes into building a floating home. Now Delos and Odd Life Crafting are doing the same but they have a whole crew. Thanks for taking us on your amazing journey!!!
Building that catamaran is such a monumental task for a couple to take on. I enjoy watching the progress every week, even the faring and sanding. Lol. It's cool to watch the time lapse and remember how far you have come. I bet putting this episode together brought back memories both good and bad. Every boat build comes with the darkening of the tunnel, i feel, at some point, and then an energy renewal. I can't wait to see your boat in person. Maybe next year when I make it to Annapolis again.
Nice to see you looking recharged and ready for the final push to your end goal. It is going to be such a beautiful vessel. Plus you will know her inside out.
Pulled the trigger recently on my own kit build, an aluminum landing craft by Specmar. Got word last week that the parts are cut, so now I wait for it to be barged to Alaska. It's going to be a big project but at least not of the magnitude that you guys have taken on. And no fairing!
As a guy, I remember being a little boy who loved putting together different types of model planes, cars and even boats... Im guessing Matt did too, this is a mega project for a couple to do together, friggin amazing job youre both doing, and the memories of just being able to spend as much time as possible together, just great, really rooting you on.
This is a bit like home construction, where the early stages are really rewarding showing the shape come together, including the dry wall. Then everything seems to slow way down as the details get worked out with lots of sanding and prep work for the paint. Followed by more fun work, as the cabinetry, and various bits of equipment get installed. That prep work for a good paint job is always painful, but well worth it.
Ross from life on the hulls is already on the water. You’re next! Good to see you both back! Got a like on the video before it even started! -Jeremy- Also, you got a link to your music?
I realize that you are in a time crunch. Hope this video was less time consuming for you to edit and post. Because I thought it was Brilliant! I loved it! Even though I started watching this channel from the first truckload. This was great!
My personal narrative is that Tucker, at some point, lost a huge bet to Matt and as payment was forced into involuntary servitude by being forced to produce the most hilarious ad spots, clearly written by Matt. I may be wrong, but if I am, I don't care to be awoken from this dream.
OK, I’m gonna say it if nobody else will say it why would you think that it would be OK that we had to relive and rewatch everything that we’ve already watched why don’t you just come on here and say sorry that we haven’t been filming but next week or next month we’ll get back to you with new videos of what we’ve been up to You wanna show us all over again that’s stupid?
So every single person watching has been here since the start and has seen it all before? I would like to see the analytics package you have if you know that. It's not like you had to watch it. I just quick scrolled through to the end which take 10 seconds and saw that it was a "clip" show so just moved on with my day.
I guess I'm in the minority, but more sanding and fairing would have been fine for me! Anyway, I'm very happy to see another video up from you both and looking forward to further updates!
I saw it the build from the start and I do not want to see it again as there many people that feel the same .Your channel as drpped from 352K to 175K in just a few months ...😡
Ah, yes, because spending thousands of hours building a catamaran from scratch is the ultimate punchline. If this is a joke, we must be hilarious-thanks for the compliment!
There have been some stages that are a bit repetitive and tedious (imagine how much worse it must be for them) but it's interesting to see how a cat is built. There's plenty of room for this type of content on youtube, many other lifestyle channels for sailing you can watch if the construction isn't your bag.
Thanks for your concern! 👍 Sometimes it’s fun to mix things up and show the process in a new way - plus, who doesn’t love a good timelapse? It’s kind of like binge-watching a build without the wait.

Terrific recap of the immense amount of progress you've made building your dream.

Amazing! It is so satisfying to watch your boat build come together (literally).

Wow, this was a amazing video. You guys make it look so easy on the refit. Rebuilt. Lol.
Super cool video guys! You both must be so proud to look back on what you’ve accomplished.

What a blast from the past, thanks for letting us join the ride.

Awesome montage of all your amazing work. Crazy cool.
I came in part way through and did not realize that you basically started from scratch, Well Done!!
Thank you so much!!
A trip down memory lane....so MUCH work done and still a ways to go.... The ending theme song is SO catchy!!!!
I love that ending song! Found it about 7-8 years ago, and I still love listening to it each time I add it to the end of an episode, haha.
That was a fun look back. Thanks. Funny, this morning I was thinking I should check my subscription or send an email to check on you guys.
The beginning of the building was the most interesting part, the works and the progresses were visible and they make sense. It was very impressive.
Looking good, if I were you guys, I would sell this one and build another one to keep. LMAO Can't wait till she sails!
I think we need to enjoy this one on the water for a few years at least before taking on any new kind of project, haha.
Hard work , push on its incredible great example of partnership. Motivation to achieve goals is the best life😊
Yes, been watching from the beginning and LOVE the work and the effort and the results. I am so excited for you guys!
As a guy, I remember being a little boy who loved putting together different types of model planes, cars and even boats... Stunning!
On one hand I would say y’all are absolutely crazy. But I can only imagine how much you are saving. Plus you know the quality of the build. Congrats
I bet making this episode helped you guys remember how much you have accomplished, as it did for those of us that watch every week...

wow, I have watched since the lake mich sails with your dog, indiantown and now this. Amazing skills. A very nice Sailboat!
It looks so quick and easy to build a boat when you edit it into a quarter of an hour video, like it's no stress at all.
I realize that you are in a time crunch. Hope this video was less time consuming for you to edit and post.
Because I thought it was Brilliant! I loved it! Even though I started watching this channel from the first truckload. This was great!
Thanks Tom. Yes, it was a bit easier to edit, but mostly because reminiscing over the past three years was a lot more entertaining than sanding :)
SUPER!
I've been watching the catamaran from the very beginning.
I admire your determination.
You're both awesome!
My personal narrative is that Tucker, at some point, lost a huge bet to Matt and as payment was forced into involuntary servitude by being forced to produce the most hilarious ad spots, clearly written by Matt. I may be wrong, but if I am, I don't care to be awoken from this dream.
Lots of work done! It always feels great when a goal is reached. Now you can have a change in your tasks and planning.
So true!
WOW.. 20k views and only 2k likes.. Come on people.. click the thumbs up.. it helps the channel :)

It's called RUclips video suicide.
Nice

Ditto I like watching every step
I told Matt I wanted to do an ASMR video of sanding and fairing, but he didn't think anyone would be into it. 😉
Lol@@MJSailing
What happened to all the names you had on the inside of the hull?
👏👏👏👍🏻😊
Nothing like REruns when you got nothing....
Reruns? We prefer to call it 'the highlight reel'-some things are just worth seeing twice!
@@MJSailing Naaa he's right. Compare it to other boat building channels and you see a huge difference...if I would be patreon, I would feel scammed.
@@G4rt3nschl4uch That's an interesting take. This video was very well received by our Patrons, with lots of positive engagement.
Is this the third year of construction?
It is. We thought it would be a three year build --- just a little over schedule :)
what he said
I saw it the build from the start and I do not want to see it again as there many people that feel the same .Your channel as drpped from 352K to 175K in just a few months ...😡
Why the awful music? I would rather hear narration or even a sander running.
Ah, the timeless debate: music or power tools. We’ll keep that in mind for our next album-'Sounds of the Sander, Vol. 1.
do some work, just one big joke
Ah, yes, because spending thousands of hours building a catamaran from scratch is the ultimate punchline. If this is a joke, we must be hilarious-thanks for the compliment!

@@onemanfranLike the Duracell Project? Perhaps they should watch those videos and learn how to do things right.
