If I may...your 'farm truck' is actually a brilliantly engineered British innovation. In 1947 Maurice Wilks took the Willis Jeep and redesigned it as the Land Rover to meet the restrictions of materials in the post WW2 world of Britain. It went into production in 1948. The resulting innovation has many unique features including low gear 4 wheel drive, locking differentials and a power take off that allowed British farmers to use the Land Rover to pull a variety of farm machinery across fields. The Land Rover quickly became the 'must have' vehicle for expeditions, armed forces, farmers and adventurers around the world. It stayed in production (subjected to engineering advances) for 75 years. Your adventures and life on your Land Rover has a deep history of development and worldwide use. Welcome to eternal British engineering!!
I just love seeing the systems you've designed to work for you. Like the removable storage on the roof. You identify real problems and find such organized and aesthetic solutions to them. Clearly the minds of architects at work.
Feels strange to have finally caught up after bingeing. Lots of Defender fans here in Kenya, spent many hours in them and they do love to leak 😂. Looking forward to seeing Uma sailing on the east African coast!
Great adaptations. The paint flake that had come off on the bonnet/hood had some rust on the now open metal - question is if the rust came after the flake fell of or if the rust pushed it off. Seems a thing to look a bit deeper into. The awning - first thing I thought, wow, you only need a few tent poles, some cloth and you can turn that into a bungalow tent.
I’ve been waiting for this tour! I think what you guys have done to the truck is really cool. And that you can ship it anywhere in the world when you want to mix things up is really convenient.
Love how you guys have fun and also create top notch videos, do seriously good truck selection and upgrades! Then the whole boat project too. As the truck is the nearest thing to a couch, perhaps she needs some re-touching every now and then? There's nothing like regular maintenance.
If you do a Norway winter road trip and fancy company (a second truck for potential recovery purposes), gimme a shout. I drove up into the Arctic Circle from the UK in 2020. There are some epic roads and routes. I have a good schedule which can be adjusted to accommodate whatever speed you like to drive and how long/per day you are comfy driving. I've just had my truck fully serviced and need a snowy road trip to test it out.
Wow all those modifications are really impressive. It would be very interesting if you could also explain how you do it for the regular car inspection. ;) Thank you for these awesome videos
Just a note of caution: if you do put on a snorkel remember to verify that the vents on your transmission, differential, transfer case and the oil vent on the engine will not let water in. None of these items do not work well with an oil/water lubricant, cheers
Love it! So much personalization for your travels. It’ll be interesting to see the cost of shipping to different parts of the world when you’re back on Uma.
I love you both I enjoy your videos please let me know how much you bought the truck and how much you spent on upgrades so far are you planning to sell the truck in feature thank you
It's 100 * harder to live in your vehicle while doing that kind of work- hopefully you make a lot on RUclips... So you can blow it on cool things like your boat. :)
Dan and Kika! Please look into Edison motors out of BC! They are converting trucks to hybrids and amazing! I think you's would be into it for the truck!
Just one question - where is the registration letters ZB allocated to your Landrover (By the way, It is NOT a TRUCK, it is a Landrover or perhaps a "Landie", but never a Truck.) Never come across this registration plate combination before. Is it somewhere new, in Sardinia? Apart from that, best of luck at the show, If I have the time, I will try to find you
Binged watched from day one, now up to date and have to wait on weekly videos. Serious withdrawals. Thanks for being there.
Literally exactly the same experience when I discovered this channel a couple of years ago

...and a seriously lousy turning circle. Only Americans would find it acceptable. But you can't have everything.
As a British person, it’s a farm truck.
Once you have made it on RUclips the Land Rover can be referred to as a farm truck.

That was a very cool episode! Love all the work you have done on the truck! Very Smart! Looking forward to the next episode.

Great truck, loving it, for the rust get some single coat anti rust white paint and put a halt to the rust 🎉

No frills, everything has a place and a good reason for being there. Can’t wait for the interior.
It’s not a farm truck, its a land rover, an amazing piece of British history.

Cool truck. I was thinking , if you get stuck in sand dunes an anchor would be useful.
Beautiful home on wheels
Hi you too, long time watcher❤❤
Any other RUclips channel would have the truck conversion/upgrade as the main focus and theme - sailing uma does that and a boat lol.
I love you both I enjoy your videos please let me know how much you bought the truck and how much you spent on upgrades so far are you planning to sell the truck in feature thank you
Very nice tour,,, a good tiny house.
Love the installed ARB. Since I last commented about it, I’ve sold my 4Runner. What’s the only thing I kept? The ARB.
Great tour
13:27 if water did not flood the cab, would that make it more likely to float (away)?

Love It!😍
Thank you for your unique approach. Your videos are a real find in the world of RUclips.👓🌚⏳
The storytelling and editing skills are just off the charts, you guys could give a master class in keeping viewers interested!
The old ones had aluminium body panels. Is that no longer the case? Very cool truck!

Qué increíble dejaron la defender ❤❤❤❤❤
OK for camping, wouldn't want to call it home.
20:54 passenger side is also ambiguous.
I might have missed something. Where are you 😀

Not in this video. They are on some trip. But where and why? *curious of their adventures*

Definitely not a Farm Truck.
Plenty of them are used that way, but I agree, that's not the preferred nomenclature.
797 days here. I will bake a cake on Tuesday! Offer on a house has just been accepted, scary. Thanks for all the videos. I won’t be getting a couch.
Not a farm truck
