      From all of the scientific study that I have done, he did come here from another planet in 1963, when all of the alien cover ops were going strong. It just goes to show that aliens are generally more talented than most humans.

      @Paulonbass75 depends on the luthier let alone who makes the hardware... Kahler outside of custom built and designed hardware are a pretty solid design and hold tune well, and another factor is who the hands they are in not to mention using precision tuners with a 18:1 or greater tuning ratio and who strings up the guitar... a pee brain or someone who is more than just a player all play factors. Just speaking from experience in instruments and being a guitar/bass tech!🤘😁

    Its weird but every time I listen to Claypool, it makes me wish Frank Zappa had lasted about ten or so more years. I just know that he would of heard Les and used him on something. Would of been weirdly cool.

    The songs name is Thela Hung Ginjeet. Its a cover by one of Claypool's favorite artist: King Crimson. I can't find any other videos of it, although I do have a different live recording of the song. You can easily tell the song by the end of the video when he goes back into the bassline of the actual song.

      The Metallica guys told Les he was "too good" for their band. Plus, his style wouldn't fit Metallica imo, he's better off musically bouncing-off Ler and Herb. If you don't believe me... just see Primus live. 😁

And the career of les has been good, but that's also disregarding what they could have produced WITH les. It could've taken over music. It could have started another transitional trend in mysic. Or it couldve failed, we just dont know. Hindsight is 20/20. We know who les is and metallica. Theyre both renown. Those "hes too good" excuses are just bs.

      While I agree with you about haters and how annoying they are, you have to admit, this isn't even close to his best solo. It's not bad, but not great either. I can say this as fully fledged bass player. Being impressed by a solo is what makes it great. I was impressed with this. Much more impressive is his solo at Woodstock.

      No its not even close to his best solo, like I said, the mans an artist.im a 15year Bass Player my self, Primus was the reason I started. Im so used to people calling Les "Overrated" it makes me sick. Im saying if im saying anything at all, the mans an inspiration. He is a master undoubtably.

      Brr Zerker people who say he's overrated aren't mature musicians. He is up there. I will say victor Wooten, Marcus miller, Stanley Clarke etc would blow him out of the water technically, but that's not all music is. The fact is, I enjoy listening to Les' songs and lines more than the fully fledged jazz virtuoso players.

      Ianthebassist I think from a listener's persepective Victor is more accessible than Les, Marcus, or Stanley, but I love listening to all of them. I go back and forth between Wooten and Claypool as my favorite bass players to listen to, but I play guitar and only for about a year so I can't really speak with any authority on his ability. I think he's a god tho.

    this jam is in the middle of Thela Hun Ginjeet, live in Chicago. Rest of the show was pretty awesome too, his kids come out and play the Whamola with him. claypool, best bassist and performer i've ever watched.
