What you said about the Olympics coming in 2028 as far as Disneyland Forward timing actually made a lot of sense. If they got started in 2025 they could at least probably have the Avatar land finished by then. I mean Galaxy's Edge took about 3 years to build. I totally agree with you hoping things will be finished sooner than later. I'm in my early 40's and I also hope I don't have to wait until I'm 90 to see this whole project become a reality😆
Hey brickey did some great walkarounds and where the new across harbor blvd parking will go with the crossover walkway once that begins then they can take the hotel parking lots and expand the parks
I bet a Frozen land goes in between the Disneyland hotel, and Pixar lot, with a walkway from Critter Country.

I never thought about the Olympics. Disney would be smart to have Avatar done by then to attract those coming for the Olympics. I agree with Na'vi River is boring. We call Napping River now. Thanks for sharing!
I agree that new original stories with existing IP has potential. We as fans need to be open to that. The stories in Star Wars land are good examples. Also, some of us scratched our heads when the story was announced but that’s what they’re also doing with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. But I appreciate the creativity behind it.

The hotel parking lots won’t be a new gate, but i think if they wanted a 3rd gate they could use the Toy Story lot
Theme park competition is always good for the guests!
I feel like they should utilize the existing “unused” areas better in the parks (eg. Hollywood backlot) and the fixer upper areas like tomorrow land, before they expand any which way. It’s money and resources that can be tapped into first?….before looking to do giant projects elsewhere. It’s like remodeling the kitchen… Finish the project before you’ starting your expansion in the living room or adding onto the house😀.

I think closing down Critter Country and tearing out all the cement walk ways may be a big hint that the next new land may be going into the Disney Hotel parking lot across the street from Critter Country. I believe they may be prepping Critter Country for better crowd flow to the new land that will be through a tunnel or over a bridge. They are likely setting up Tiana's Bayou Adventure queues, fixing up the new themed shops, and planning for the future crowd flow through Critter Country to the new land all at once. I am suspecting they are prepping Winnie the Poo for future bigger crowds since more people will be passing through Critter Country instead of it just being a quaint cul-de-sac. The Disney Hotel parking lot seems the least intrusive area to do park expansion sooner rather than later. I believe they could expand into that parking lot even before building the massive new parking structure behind the Harbor Blvd hotels. Critter Country is a nice forested area and would be a perfect path that transitions into either an Avatar land or possible a Frozen Land. Both would work nicely next to Critter Country's pine trees.

Dylan I get your point that if Disney uses more IP in the parks then at least create new stories. However……The biggest criticism for the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is that they are not using the original story and all of the characters (mainly Facilier and Ray)… So who is right? Most guests, especially kids, want what they know.
I bet the Toy Story lot becomes the 3rd gate. I doubt it’ll be another Downtown Disney shopping and dining area.

How big would the avatar land be and would it be like galaxy edge and have only 2 rides and so much wasted space? There isn't a lot space left at Disneyland.
I hope you’re right or I hope that goes bye-bye because don’t try to do that at third park just to get more money out of everybody in California and others. I visit the theme park. What they need to do is they need to get rid of Autopia and can put in something good there maybe our version of Tron, but it lasted more than one minute, or put avatar there with two attractions, but please do not put frozen there because it is not that great movie. I would love to see them, put a beauty and the beast there and where the stages at put the seven dwarfs roller coaster there, but we really do need a beauty and the beast there. I hope that they put in a Coco theme ride or land at Disneyland considering then more than 38% of people that go to Disneyland or Mexican., The Mexican people are the majority in California now and if Disney with their so-called treating people with dignity, better see that the Mexican population of this state and the amount of people that go to Disneyland and California adventure should be honored themselves. We don’t want to be honored with a character meet or or a character at a parade. And if they started doing this and not give the Mexican people what they want then, the Mexican population will go in boycott Disneyland to the point that it’s gonna hurt them in their pocketbook. They need to do what is right Coco and Encanto are two different things that celebrate two different Latin cultures.
That area definitely cannot hold a theme park, we don’t want another small Disney park on our hands, that’s an issue they know not to repeat.

Avatar land would be ideally slotted into the northeast corner of DCA, where the Hollywood Backlot currently is. Also, a 3rd park makes no sense when the Disney Co struggles to deal with its 2 existing parks in Anaheim. DisneySea, the 2nd Disney park in Tokyo, also shows how quality is way better than quantity.

I can’t say exactly where but I will say it’s nice up here. It’s been hot though.
Yeah no it was already expressed Pixar parking will be expansion for DCA with people mover I believe it was. Rumored and believed to have Frozen, Zootpia and possible Encanto for the DCA expansions. All Forward projects will be IP Sadly but like you hopefully a great wow on an IP.
Keep in mind closure of the street between the parking structure and hotel side is approved to now be walled off. Same goes for West street between Katella and Ball so an official wall there.
Once those streets are taken out the expansion cn move forward. Avatar land possibly behind Star Wars Land after they restructure the parking entrance from Ball or Katella. Now that they have the expansion approval maybe they are planning a new parking structure and close down the old that had issue just recently. Once Tiana's is finished I'm sure announcements at D23 will be hey this is and suddenly 24 hours later we see a lot of work start.
I would be very, very surprised if the Avatar area doesn’t end up in the Downtown Disney parking lot.
Dca def needs pandora. It need more attractions. Glad iger pretty much confirmed itll be built from scratch when he said avatar was part of dis eyland forward

I feel the same way!! Why avatar?!? That doesn't even feel Disney. I would've preferred like a Nightmare before Christmas themed areaaa! Or a little mermaid area. Or a Milan china town IDK not avatar! Lol
I'm a Huge Disney Fanatic, and Avatar is not on my top 10, it's not even in my top 20. I would've liked something else completely different. I don't know any huge avatar lovers either. It's just going to be another Mid section for the park.

Based off the fact that it has been deemed an, “experience” and not a land, just tells us all we need to know. We will not be getting a real avatar land like in AK. They will half ass it, and we’ll get what they are telling us we are going to get.. an “experience”.. Either meet the AK land, exceed it, or don’t do it at all.
Oh no, it’s a land. The concept art confirms a massive new land is in the works.
