Foster Corder Foster Thank You brother... I am PROUD TO BE ONLY 44 years old but I took my picture with RRM at Wild And Wooly Video in Louisville KY when he had an autograph signing and T-shirts’ for sale and it is displayed brightly in my home and only my father, my son, Barack Obama, Icky Woods, and Marvin Gaye’s photos are displayed in my house. The fact that so many white kids also looked up his videos and dug his rap was evident The line was out the door and around the block and I was so impressed that my BLACK brother had such an appeal with the new generation while also being a bit hurt that the BLACK generation older than me was not in full force. This was right after Ray Charles died and RRM was singing his songs on a boom box and gave everyone personalized attention and his “Table Muscle” was even a little relaxed cuz even he knew it was all love. One of the best days of my life. Don’t really think ima check the Netflix out. Thank You for this from Louisville Kentucky! U got family here!

I grew up during the Eddie years. You'll have to understand Eddie Murphy had black Hollywood on his shoulders when white Hollywood wasn't giving black actors work. And this is no exaggeration but it was a 1 black to 100 whites ratio when it came to working, so yes some people were overlooked. You have to be fair put it in the proper context. Eddie was the one putting people to work by himself. And he wasn't cheating people out of their pay like Spike Lee did.

Damn I don’t know how to feel about this all. I just watched the Netflix movie & I watched the whole thing like oh shit!! Eddy is back. Then to come find out that there was an original movie & that what I watch was essentially a remake based on a true story. I loved the movie & the story as a whole. It’s uplifting a movie/story of believing in oneself & never giving up on your aspirations in life. Now I hear eddy never so much as spoke to Rudy. I think that a bit fucked up. I feel it’s great that Rudy is now in the light because of Eddy & in return Eddy is now in the light because of Rudy. I guess this was Eddy’s way of him acknowledging Rudy’s contribution to comedy & cinema as a whole. However, based on what his manager says, Rudy would have died truly happy had Eddy visited him & shared a few words & spent a bit of time with him while he was still here. R.I.P Rudy Moore. “He made me do it! Bitch!! Are you for realll?!?!” I notice that the original Dolemite movie is now available for viewing on the app Tubi.. I’m going to give it a watch. I bet Rudy & Red Fox & Bernie Mac along with all the other greats like Richard & Robbin Harris are making a whole lot of people laugh in Heaven.

Why is there always videos and interviews like this that surface whenever somebody becomes relevant? Eddie Murphy was out of the game for years, he comes back with a good film and some journalist is already looking for the shade. Bunch of Vlad's everywhere, Richard was the hero of Eddies time not Moore sorry. However that film gave me a great respect for Dolomite as a character and Rudy as a great artist, an enterprising business man and dreamer. No no my friend that film didn't make Rudy look bad it was funny and tasteful he looked humble, it was a great watch and paid homage to Dolomite period.

Moore's manager said it never happened . But Eddie goes on tv saying he wanted to work with Moore years ago. I believe the manager. Because since Eddie has this movie out, how would it look to the public finding out Eddie thought Moore wasn't as good as he was or that Eddie thought Moore was corny. People might not want to see the movie and this movie to me is a ticket to making Eddie relevant again . Its all Hollywood Baby and all will lie to make that money.. what does the Manager of Moore gain by saying Eddie is lying... Again Eddie needs for people to buy into his love for Moore for this movie to be a success...RIP Mr. MOORE

The comment below was exactly what I was think while watching this. Why wasn't he in Harlem Nights? He had some great comedians in there. Understandably, he didn't ask Cosby but Rudy Ray Moore wasn't in opposition to Eddie Murphy's comedy. It makes me think of the hidden classism amongst black professionals towards the black population and within the rise to fame. Some black ppl who are career oriented have a grandiose idea of themselves based on white approval.
