Great video. James Shields was always great at going deep into games. In 2011, he pitched 11 (!) complete games, with 4 of them being shutouts. Also, earlier in 2012, he pitched a noteworthy 11-K, 3 hit shutout, which gave him an impressive 92 game score
Oddly enough in 2011, Shields lost a 1-0 game at yankee stadium, throwing a complete game with zero earned runs. Two throwing errors in the seventh allowed cano to score, and CC sabathia went all nine for a cg shutout
