I think playing a 4 man scramble is way different than playing a two man, best ball. It’s got to be pretty hard to beat a 4 man scramble team that has just decent players.

Watching this again after having watched full swing and it just shows Joel really needed this before that win to get in that winning mindset. It's crazy how Good Good will be tied to that win in a minor way forever.

He didn't get into the Masters with the victory because the tournament was played opposite the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play event in Texas, but did wrap up a PGA Championship berth and a spot at Kapalua in the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

The difference between a great Am (tig & G) and a guy fighting to make a career out of golf is night and day, and Joel and others with years on tour are that much better than the scrappy pro trying to prove himself. It's just insane how GOOD even the guys who don't get the press on Tour are!

@@BChandl13 yup. People don’t realize how much better a pro is than golfers as good as Micah and Garrett. These guys can shoot under par but they still aren’t as great as the pros are.

This really illustrates the differences between an actual PGA Tour pro and two good amateurs who everyone else thinks are tour ready.

@@adrianqasawa2569 Sure. No reason for them to not keep plugging and working at it. Both are young and very good golfers. And, to their credit, they have never claimed they were tour ready now. I was just referring to some of the impressionable kids in here who think it's easy to get to the tour.
@@Caddiesense it’s simply not possible to put attention into a content-creation company like GG and both their personal channels and also put hundreds of hours of deliberate practice with a team of professionals helping you getting your A-game. You do one or the other, not both.

Joel is a shining example of not needing freak distance shots to be great at the game. He's such a fan favorite
Until now, Joel Dahmen to me was that tour veteran who had a funny hat who played well enough to be in one of the last few groups on Sunday every now and then. He got more mic time and face time in the GG video than he's received in his whole PGA Tour tv career. I've had rounds where I've "played well" and didn't accomplish very much on the scorecard, and the thought occurred to me that to card a 65 would require hitting every single damn shot solid. Every freaking one. Every drive in the fairway, every iron on line at the pin, and pin high, and every putt as perfect as possible. Joel did that in this video. That's why he's a veteran PGA tour pro. His talent level is insane. He seems like a great guy, too. Not an ebullient personality, but respectful of Garrett's and Micah's fine amateur games, His low-key attitude was actually pleasant to watch. I'll be rooting for him now on tour.
Loving the fact you're now editing music into the silences. Just sounds and feels so much more edited and high-quality; really good job. Kinda starting to resemble the Foreplay guys a bit, and I'm digging it
Joel has quickly become one of my favourite tour pros.
This showcases just how good the guys are on the PGA Tour and what it takes. Joel, like everyone else on the tour, would go out to Troon and shoot 64 to 66 in their sleep just about any day of the week from the tips. Desert golf is fun when you can keep it in the fairway, but when you hit it like Garrett your clubs aren’t going to last very long. Cool video.

You're snap hooking like I do, GRat. I find that happens for me when I get quick. You've probably figured this out by now but you're getting the club way ahead/over rotating. Basically, you're over-rotated at impact plus closed club face = start left and turn left.
Facts. Coming from the inside so quick is a duck hook waiting to happen. When you see him on the range its smooth. When he gets around Tig, he try's to be the power player, when he is the wizard with the wedges. Stick to your strengths, and don't try to compete against others strengths.
