Dunlop Sportmax GPR 300 6000km Review

- For people on the forum asking what the Dunlop GPR 300 budget tyre is like on a larger bike. Rather than answer same questions here is a video.
Cost 350 Euros and lasted 3 months.
Front PSI 36 120/70-ZR17M/C 58W
Rear PSI 42 160/60-ZR17M/C 69W
Checked and adjusted every two weeks with Makita cordless inflator DMP 180Z.
Suzuki GSF 650s Bandit K5 lots of extra weight with Grinders, Drills other tools etc. 210kg plus.
Mainly commuting to work so short motorway journeys and city riding. Usually 6 days a week of riding for about an hour in total.
Did a tour of Spain around 2.500km. Very hot weather and also extreme rain. Tyres felt comfortable nearly all the way through till the last 500km or so, didn't really corner so well after that.
Tyres didn't feel any different to the Bridgestone T32, Michelin road 5s and Bridgestone BTO19 before I got these. Perfect in the rain and dry weather. Only felt bad in greasy conditions.
Can't say anything for cold conditions as I only had them 3 months of the summer before the rear went to the wear limit.
Wouldn't buy again as the Michelin Road 6 are only 70 Euro more expensive and hopefully will last longer than the Dunlops. I wouldn't worry if the bike has them on or you are getting great deal on this tyre, as it was fine other than the short life.

The ride quality and braking I got off these were FAR greater than my last set up.

Is tire good for drag racing the quarter mile
I agree with you on everthing you said, and for 350€ its a bad deal. They wear fast. The last ones i used, it last me 9k km. I have a new pair on the garage, ready to put on the bike, but they cost me 150€ the pair, and i will fitt them myself. I think the secret, with this tyres is to buy them cheap. My bike is a Honda CTX 700D and i always ride with my wife and some extra weight on the cases...cheers
My dad had the only CTX 700 dct in Ireland, great bike.
Do you ride twisties in a fast pace or only on the road at speed limit?
