In debates, if someone is too boisterous and saying dumb things, I will just kind of drift off and daydream and just half pay attention to them. If you have ever tried to reason with a pathological liar, you know how hard it is to debate with them. I am sorry I have to say this, and am not saying this as a Democrat or Republican, but as someone who doesn't want to be fed falsehoods: it's the moderators' responsibility to fact check both candidates realtime (it may not be how it has been done historically, but times have changed). The moderators both have the resources, and credibility for that. Candidates fact checking each other will never come across as credible and will be more like whinig. If CNN cared about truthful journalism, it certainly didn't deliver.
