They could of used so many sick songs for entrance songs, No Limit had some great artists. Fiend, Mac, mystikal, mia x,C-Murder, mr serv on etc.... Im sure it was near enough every week No Limit was dropping albums during their peak. Being in the U.K, i would get the source mag and see the full page adverts for upcoming and new releases. Then i would go to HMV and buy the album and have to pay import duty on the cd's😩😂, or would have to ask them to order me a copy from the US. Loved them different colour plastic cases every no limit album had.
The No Limit solider gimmick actually made sense... i mean we seen worse angles in wrestling before. Master P is a living legend and the reason i started my business
I love the wobble wobble reference. You could have also said: After you glide the razor on your skin, you've gotta "shake it shake it" to get the hair out. 😂
Eric Bischoff is a legit legend in wrestling. Lost some battles. Won a LOT more. His efforts took wrestling out stale awful era. It was the corporate machinations taking place behind the scenes that sink WCW... not Eric Bischoff. Respect to Eric.
I was 15 at the time this angle happened, and all I listened to was rap. In 1999, Master P and the No Limit Soldiers were NOT cool. Their time in the sun had long since passed, and no one cared about them.
Yes, Eric was trying to grow the audience with a demographic that might not have been watching wrestling. What I think he missed was that by bringing on characters the current audience didn’t find entertaining, he actually probably lost a larger portion of the audience than he gained. I know I just changed the channel to Raw when No Limit came on. It actually made me like Rey and Konnan less because it felt like they were forcing No Limit down our throats.
Same. I think a mistake Eric made was bringing in too many celebrities. When you bring in a celebrity, it's special. When you bring in another celebrity, it's like, "Okay, so this person is on the show now." When you start bringing in celebrity after celebrity after celebrity, the gimmick loses something. It's not unique anymore. It's more like, "Okay, who is WCW trying to get this time?" And at that point, you're just taking the focus off the wrestlers, which is who the audience came to see in the first place.
WCW collaboration with No Limit was an example of how not to use celebs and reeked with desperation as they constantly brought in outside figures(Kiss was also wrestling around this time) to try and boost their ratings and had them in angles they should have had no business being in.
Eric is such a cool guy to listen to. I agree and empathize with mostly all that he says. Can understand why he gets so drained by Meltzer and his bullshit.
can we please get a weekly episode where all of Conrad's Co-hosts just shit on Dave meltzer for an hour because they all across the board are very stern in their convictions about Dave m.
As somebody who grew up on hip hop from 1992 until 2004 i never liked that cheap No Limit sound, from the music to the album covers it just felt cheap and tacky...P was a great businessman though, he managed to have his finger in a million different pies
It's easy to push back after the fact and spin something but the Master P segments were horrible; I'm not speaking against Master P whatsoever- the birthday party segment in the ring, stuff like that- it was a miscalculation. It sucks that the logic with "why aren't more African-Americans in the live audience" was to go do this rather than, you know, go ask Booker T and then push Booker T.
@@newerahippie he sold just over 7 million in the USA total. Highest was 3 million. That is respectable 3 million for an album but nothing new or groundbreaking at the time. Yet he had more money than those who outsold him around every corner. It wasnt his sales it was his business moves that made him noticed. You can easily look up his numbers. His label itself I don't know the numbers I'm just speaking on P
Creating a script with Master P for WCW was a great idea from Eric Bishoff
I loved The No Limit Soldiers in WCW! Master P have done a lot, even played in the NBA for a short time.
As a 10 year old who lived in TX in 1998, I was very excited about the Master P x WCW cross over
WCW and Master P were part of the golden era in the 1990’s.
Man…. How could anyone not like Eric he’s one cool customer.
Cannot believe you guys are up doing this episode so happy to listen to this !
That would be sick as hell to see Master P coming to the ring with the Pass me Da Green song as an entrance.

C murders Wolfpack theme is still a phukken banger
I really enjoyed the no limit angle! Wish it was longer
I wish so too but Master P got invited to the Toronto Raptor’s training camp and had to report. Master P was doing everything.
The No Limit solider gimmick actually made sense... i mean we seen worse angles in wrestling before. Master P is a living legend and the reason i started my business
Mr Ice Cream Man. No limit and Rap a lot records ran the 1990s.
I love the wobble wobble reference. You could have also said: After you glide the razor on your skin, you've gotta "shake it shake it" to get the hair out. 😂
The pimp c / Eric mashup lolol 😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you! I was like what? Haha
Great to hear the dynamic duo of Conrad and Eric. You’re employees aren’t cutting it.
Bischoff said he's a no limit soldier! 💨
Did anyone else notice Conrand's use of Master P song titles before and during the ad reads? Stay bout it bout it
HOOTY HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO master p is a legend
Eric Bishoff was very creative with WCW in the late 1990’s.
Eric Bischoff is a legit legend in wrestling. Lost some battles. Won a LOT more. His efforts took wrestling out stale awful era. It was the corporate machinations taking place behind the scenes that sink WCW... not Eric Bischoff. Respect to Eric.
The punchline being that Swoll actually did work two big matches for New Japan in 1991
I love this episode !
Doesnt Master P run a wrestling promotion now?
I was 15 at the time this angle happened, and all I listened to was rap.
In 1999, Master P and the No Limit Soldiers were NOT cool. Their time in the sun had long since passed, and no one cared about them.
yeah maybe if this happened in 1997... plus they were only popular in the south
I love Eric destroying Meltzer
Facts
I don't even remember this being a thing.
But why did ya'll put Bischoff's face over Pimp C? 😭😭😭😭😭
Regardless this is legendary
Lol that how you do that there add read 😂 👌

Rodman was before Tyson!
Great topic was always intrigued about this.. 'make em say uhhghhh na na na na'
I think Eric gets mad whenever he has to start talking about the sponsors. 😂 I don't blame him.
When I really started watching wcw
Wow talk about bad timing
We know Eric, we know you're down with O.P.P.
When even Conrad agrees that Dave seems full of BS, then you now Dave is really out there.
7:46 mark, not trying to be mean, but it's the money and how much it costs.
Da Game Is To Be $old, Not To Be Told.- Snoop Dogg & Eric Bischoff of No Limit Records 1998
Hooty Hooooooo!!!! Heard Alot In 1999❤❤❤❤❤
Hoody
Bischoff might as well do his podcast with Meltzer cuz all Conrad does is read what Dave wrote 90% of the time in every episode🙄
Eric is such a cool guy to listen to. I agree and empathize with mostly all that he says. Can understand why he gets so drained by Meltzer and his bullshit.
Going up against kliq this live on RUclips was a bad business choice lol
An to think master p passed on signing eminem
Make em say uhhhhhh
Mr ice cream man is his best song. His catalog is massive though.
can we please get a weekly episode where all of Conrad's Co-hosts just shit on Dave meltzer for an hour because they all across the board are very stern in their convictions about Dave m.
Bischoff and Thompson 2024 ! Pritchard for Secretary of the treasury! Let’s go Brandon!
Trying to figure where rodman would fit in 96 wwe? Nah

Eric Bishoff does not like Dave Meltzer……..

@@John.Flower.Productions I Farted. And it smelled a lot like J Flower
Doubt Master p is flexing on trech
This would have been a great episode to use the backup hosts for. The only good thing that came out of this was Rap is Crap.
Master P didnt really sell that many albums but he got a bigger piece because he was doing his own thing and that's what made him a bigger name
@newerahippie LOL thank you. People really state things as fact. Master P has multiple platinum albums.

The P stands for Percy by the way.
@MasterP #MasterP @Nolimit #Nolimit 🎡
