Yeah, I'm sure he has it by a long shot even just with the stuff they actually kept, without even considering that they probably throw out like 100-1000 times as much footage.

i find it so wild having been a fan of gavin's for almost 10 years the sheer amount of growth he's experienced career wise. like being able to meet heroes and icons and work/speak with them i feel incredibly proud of someone who is very much a stranger to me. it's also really sweet hearing his grandfather (who i believe is the same one who calls him the boy with the golden hands) it's heartwarming to see one family members complete support and reverence for their grandsons abilities and future blossom into something amazing excited to see what's next for gav's career
So let me get this straight… Dan lights his hand on fire, slaps you across the chops, then fails to press one button…. How is this man is a trained explosives expert
I watched the full video of this on Dom's Twitch when it came out and am still hoping you'll do a follow up together. He is just so genuinely thrilled to be talking to you, it's a delight. I think a second chat would give you both a chance to cover a lot more! Also Gav you made that awesome trailer video for Dom to play - are you going to upload it on RUclips? :)
Enjoyed this Gav. Dom Joly is class... Loved his book on 'Dark Tourism' too. He took the words out of my mouth about Trigger Happy TV being 'punk' in the sense it's also very specific to a certain point in time with the means to make video being possible, affordable and not quite ubiquitous - I think it just wouldn't be possible now as the public response would also be very different (plus the issue of them filming on their phones!).
This video made me so incredibly happy. Trigger Happy TV was the first programme I ever fell in love with and watched on repeat, and Slow Mo Guys was the first RUclips channel I ever properly followed and binged watched for hours, so watching this gave me the warmest, most nostalgic feeling. Especially seeing how much both guys are still passionate about it all after all these years, just doing it for the joy of it all. Thank you Gav and Dom
This is definitely a video I'm going to watch a bunch of times. I feel lucky/honored (I don't really have words for this feeling) to have witnessed it.
As someone who has had strong relationships with my grandparents, this made me sad happy. Not every gets to have a relationship with their grandparents or even their great grandparents but its just that much more special when it's a close relationship that pretty much shapes your life
Honestly this was probably one of my favourite SMG2 videos... they're always exceptionally interesting but this one had such great insight and the candour between you 2 was a treat. Thanks 😄
Thanks for posting this. It's a really different style video compared to the "normal" channel stuff and interesting. It's nice to hear Dan's name again. I never thought I'd say this, but I do miss the old lug. :-)
I liked that. Nice to hear conversations between interesting people and their situations, different approaches or sides to the industry. Really cool calm chill video. Would be cool to see the other conversations you perhaps had later on with Dom.
I didn't know how much I needed this video until I watched it. That was cool! Please do a followup, I'd love to see you do an Austin tour when the world stops ending.
It was so cool watching this and seeing you interact with someone who inspired you! I won't lie, you have inspired me as a filmmaker so seeing who inspired you is really awesome. Loved this interview!
It was the music and the slightly awkward extended edits of Trigger that I loved the most, glad that was intended. Great interview, really enjoyed that.
What an absolutely amazing interview. I would LOVE to see Dom Joly in a Slow Mo Guys episode. Seriously, there is so much chemistry here. It would be an absolutely treat. PS - I'd never even heard of Trigger Happy TV before. Definitely going to have to find some episodes to watch.

That was such a good interview and some great info for the fans of both of you! Also, thank you so much for doing the sponsor at the end of the video... why isn't that just a thing on youtube?!
Probably because people just close the video so sponsers don't allow it. I expect KiwiCo are a bit more chill or Gav negotiated it that way. I always watch them anyway :D
I feel like it would be a great podcast of Gavin interviewing professionals in career fields he thinks are interesting. Added Hook is that he does a brief slow mo of something from the interviewers job.
after hearing so much over the years about how Gav got into RT, it never even occurred to me that could be equally, if not more influential people on his life. Like if it wasn't for Dom, would he have even been into filmmaking enough to get a visa? Really interesting video showing a side of Gav I hadn't seen before.
Gavin cut down an hour long interview down to like 24 minutes. And also: Gavin probably included more of Dom seeing as he is a big fan, and he wants to showcase more of his hero to a channel that already gets enough of Gavin

A pleasant surprise to see Dom Joly on here. Trigger happy TV still holds up very well. An absolute classic of a series.
