AliExpress Headless guitar with a Endure style neck

- Been wanting to try a guitar with the endure neck for awhile now . They are a little pricey to order the real one to try, so I searched AliExpress and found one that had the neck I was looking for. Well it looks like a endure neck , as I could not be sure as I never had one in my hands before. Anyway got a hold of this vender on AliExpress and they have always responded pretty quickly , So I decided to give it a shot . I ordered a 6 string model as I have enough problems playing them and did not need to go the 7 string route. So I had to wait a bit for the 6 string , about a month - not bad . Once completed they shipped it fast and I had it in less than 10 days. It wasn't perfect ? (its a $300 guitar) and I was not expecting perfection either but with a little work it plays really nice . Fret work was good , Pick ups are good, Stays in tune. Biggest item was shimming the neck which is pretty easy. I would not hesitate to order again from this vendor based on this order. Please keep in mind these are only my opinions and I am not a expert . If you do order from them tell them John sent you :) Thanks for watching and keep playing

Do you mind sharing the scale length of the guitar? Seems a little longer than most strandbergs
27" on the 6th string and 25.5" on the 1st
Great video. Do you think the cavity would fit a pair of active mount pickups like fishman? I noticed the cavity seems rounded on the edges. Thanks for your input in advance and thanks for posting this.
Not sure on that as the pick-ups (fanned fret style) have a offset which standard pick ups do not have . You can probably ask them to route for a standard pick-up . They were pretty good on getting back to me on any questions I had - Good luck

thats not really anything close to an endure neck, thats a regular neck that was chamfered on either side. The base model strandbergs are $999, I'm sure a used one can be found for less, buy that instead. Doesnt really make sense to buy a $300 counterfeit (poorly counterfeited) guitar to try it out, at least if you dont like the actual thing you can sell it and get most if not all of your money back.
My AliExpress guitar was junk. So I took that pos and taught myself to refret a guitar. Would have cost the price of the guitar to ship it back. I do recommend the strandberg I love mine.
I was worried about buying off Ali express too , I guess I got lucky this time
@@johnvanmtb8775 maybe or maybe I just got unlucky. Either way my anger over that guitar, I turned into a skill I can use. Some tools were a bit pricey because I was using stainless steel frets and it was tough but I stuck with it. Watched hundreds of videos. A lot of work but it was fun learning and now I don't have to pay someone else to do it for me.

Its always a positive to learn a new skill .Haven't done a refret yet, not sure I want to :) I started to build some guitar kits to learn some new skills , every build teaches you something new and like you mentioned , you can work on your own guitars now 👍

Some people need a name brand guitar . Some of the guitars I like best are no names:) Everyone has a preference on what they like or don't like. The good thing is this wasn't a very expensive experiment for me, and turned out good. Keep in mind this was only one guitar from this manufacturer , Hopefully their QC is good on all 🤞. Good luck
Amazon Guitars (JET, Leo Jaymz, EART, Firefly, etc.) are better quality guitars. When you buy an Ali custom you are paying for the custom work but don't buy one unless you intend to work on the guitar yourself or pay a Luthier however not all Luthiers like working on these guitars which all come from the same Factory in China not owned by Sammick or Cort with a high employee turnover rate and if there is a problem with the "company" they just create a new Ali account but the Factory stays the same so no accountability whatsoever.
Difference I noticed with the Chinese one's. They don't sound great unplugged. My 335 grote I said goodbye.
It’s not an Endure neck unless you bought it from Strandberg. It’s a knockoff of an Endure neck. Honestly is important.
Thats why I posted Endure style neck in the title . I even spelled endure with a E at the end , Strandberg spells it EndurNeck. Not trying to trick anyone, just some info on what's out there

The guy made a video to show that it was possible to buy a low cost approximation of the original guitar. So people could get the general experience, without plunking down over $1800. And that compelled you to be a nitpicky jerk??
