Even if your hair grows to your knees, you don't have cut it like some would think because you can always just have it shrink back to curly, then it won't appear too long at all! Lol, ah the advantages of having curly hair.
LOL... I'm going to come back in one year because I'm already bra strap length and according to her notes she went from my length to waist-length in a year..... maybe it's just genetics, but I've been really on top of my hair for the past few months so I'm hoping that I reach my goals as well! Hair is definitely growing a lot faster now and retaining more length so we'll see : )
Wow! Amazing achievement. I feel that the creamy crack gets in the way of our hairs true potential. Hair education truly changes the game. Thanks for sharing. ☺
+Mr. Magoo Of course you can grow long healthy hair when relaxed...I did. Before I BC and transitioned I was at MBL. However, my hair is much more healthy being natural and retention is easier.
Omg. After so many videos of me THINKING I had 4c hair, I realized a few months ago that my hair was actually THREE-C and I'm so happy to say that we have the same hair. YESSSS now I can start following (subscribing) you!
Wow I can tell you had fun with your hair journey. That's what I want to do this year 2016 just have fun with my hair. I really would like to do more smoothies and juices too because it seems to help my hair so I just have to make it more routine.
I think I've found my hair twin!!! I'm at your 2 year mark and growing FAST! I trim my own hair twice a year, keep my hair moisturizered with coconut oil, shampoo once a month and co wash the rest and I'm in and out of protective styles 👍🏾
VERY inspiring to me. I never really cared to have long hair. Always rocked my short, layered cuts but now that I've been natural for a year, I'm going for length and strength. Feeling encouraged. TFS
I feel discouraged after watching this. I big chopped at the same time and my hair is no where near that length. Now I just leave my hair alone, moisturize and wash when needed and avoid heat if possible. My hair has also changed over the years and it became hard to find a regime that works for me when it's not in a protective style. Don't really know what to do anymore except leave it alone and drink water.
Your hair may be longer than you think it is. I'm going to assume your hair texture is kinky or really thick or so. This lady's hair is a looser texture, so her hair will appear longer than someone with a tighter curl. Try African Threading or the Banding Method to stretch your hair.
NiCole Sky I do a little now especially after I had my son. I had soooo much postpartum shedding. I tried one of the herbs mixed with rice water and onion water and it helped a lot to stop the shedding and with regrowth. I also love using clay washes when I need it
5’2 and Attitude it’s down to bra strap/mid back in the back and down to my chest in the front and that’s after me doing several 2-3 inch cuts over the years.
This is my goal for the next 3-4 years. I just recently big chopped and I'm already a little bit below my collarbone so I can't wait to retain length back
outstanding!❤❤❤ gives me hope Cuz I just big chop in Aug after 27 months of transitioning! i went from MBL to SL so my start off point is SL right Noe do hopefully I can reach my goal to waist length in 3 years! you have beautiful hair as I often tell you on Instagram thanks for inspiring gorgeous!💕💕💕
omg. I've seen the last photos where pull down your hair to your waist picture all over fb and IG. the shrinkage is real in that photo. but I just wanted to say your have beautiful hair
Beautiful hair. My hair is 2 years behind the average😫😫 I'm about 6 years on the journey and my hair is mid back but I did cut 3 inches off 2x in 2015 and 2016. I'm not cutting no more I want waist length hair
if you can do it then so can I. I'm at a year and 8 months and so far I have 8 healthy inches it doesn't sound like much but it's going down my back now. I eat my vitamins everyday trying to push out some more inches before the end of the year.
This is a good video. Very inspiring, but I wishI had enough patience to wait 4 years. My hair is like past ear length but that isn't much! I recently bought black castor oil and can't wait for the results. Have any advice? BTW i was never relaxed, always natural my hair just broke off.
so shrinkage. i've only had my hair natural for about a year so it still a little short not big chop short but still short so i was a little exasperated with shrinkage which made it shorter. but dang after this video i feel like i cant wait to have long hair and experience shrinkage lol. its sooooo perdy and its like you could choose depending on your mood whether you want long or short hair without having to do anything permanent. just stretch for long or let shrink for short XD natural hair is awesome i could wear it straight curly braided poofy so many possibilities. i wish my mom or even myself knew how to take care of natural hair when i was twelve cuz then i woulnt have relaxed it. not regretting the relaxer cuz at the time i didnt know what to do with natural hair but still now at 22 i gotta start fresh XD
Hello my sister and fellow natural I truly loved your hair journey. I wanted to ask you a quick question to sum it all up what was key or the most important thing in those 4 years that contributed to your long lengths? So beautiful just subscribed.
I thank you! The key I believe is proper hair care- I keep my hair moistirized, Once I style my hair I do not touch it or play in it until wash day- I also do NOT flat iron or color my hair. Deep conditioning is also Key in retaining moisture so I do so every single week.
That sounds good great regimen. I don't use heat also and I deep condition faithfully every Sunday. Thanks for responding so soon I really appreciate that. Have a nice day.
what else did you do besides moisturize and clean your hair and probably keep it in protective styles to grow your hair waist length in 4 years? did you also excessive or eat healthier or use pills or certain things? what helped besides the normal wash clean and protect routine?
I have a question to anyone who is willing and kind enough to answer! So I've been natural for coming up to two years now, I try to wash my hair once a week & deep condition I don't use heat I always air dry. But I have to be honest there are days that I don't moisturise my hair. I always wear my hair in a pony tail but have noticed that my hair is always the same length when stretched! The middle of my hair is quiet short but the rest is just slightly below shoulder length. This has been my length for years, never longer...can someone please let me know what I maybe doing wrong? Why does my hair maintain one length? Thank you in advance for any reply. x
Peace, Are you deep conditioning your hair with every wash? And do you overmanipulate your hair? I personally do not restyle my hair in between my wash and style days- so I go 7-8 days without touching my hair to emilinate unnecessary breakage
Vannie3000 Yes, I usually use the shea moisture jbc conditioner after I wash. Then I'll just moisturise and leave it to air dry but sometimes I get really bad knots and tangles during the week. But I'm unsure if I over manipulate my hair, I usually use a hard bristle brush to style it into a pony tail maybe 3 times a week. During the over days, I keep it in the bun & cover it with a satin scarf. Not sure if that's ok! Thank you for taking the time to reply :)
Is your hair naturally that curly and pretty? Do you use anything to enhance the curls? I have been trying to find a product that can give me curls like that. Small and pretty curls.
My curls are all Natural.... You can only define the curls that already exists- everyone's Natural hair varies. To define your curls use a leave in, oil, followed by a styling gel- I use Eco styler

If you haven't already I HIGHLY suggest you completely switch your regime; try Ayurvedic methods. Give your hair way more love, care & attention!
How’s your progress now?✨

I thank you
What did u use for your hair
How long is your hair now?
what were the steps you took to grow your hair?
Did you do anything specific for hair growth, like how did you retain all of your length?
Looks great
Thank you :)
God damn, that shrinkage is real!
Did you do anything specific to grow it? Like products ect
Good job 👏 girl
Thank You So much
it takes the average person seven years to grow their hair to waistline. You did it in 4?
Lovely..
Thank you
Waoo congratulations lady
Thank you!
Hey, my hair is about my shoulder length and I want to do transition, how do I go about it
Depends on whether you want to do a long or short transition, and this will also depend if you care about length or not. You can transition long term by cutting a bit of your relaxer as your Natural hair grows- if you care about length it usually takes about 2 to 2 1/2 years to have some hang time with out natural hair- but if you just want to go ahead and go Natural just do the big chop :)
Okay, thanks
I prefer the long transition, my hair is at shoulder length as at now, might just chop off a little bit of the relaxed part. Am a Nigerian girl and my hair is quite different. How can I maintain it cause am a student and really won't have much time to concentrate on it, I also do the egg mask stuff . Pls help
is the big chop compulsory
do you ask yourself why the hell did you ever relax your hair before? lol
Lol! I was young- 8 years old, and recall asking my Mother for one- I asked her a few years ago why she did it and she replied, "You all asked for one and I like to please my children"-- it was noting deeper than that... Now, I do wish I never asked her to relax my hair because Natural hair is so beautiful, versatile, and unique to me! :)
How tall are you?
I looovvvee itttt alll
