I forgot to mention…. Another common complain is that this movie is too straightforward and doesn’t have that ‘Shyamalamadingdong Twist’, and they expected a twist but it failed to subvert expectations….. Well…. If you’re going in to it hoping/expecting a twist, having your expectations subverted and it was straightforward… it STILL subverted expectations by NOT having one! I’m actually glad it didn’t have one and he attempted a straightforward narrative, though I still do wish it was more ambiguous

I agree. A good movie with an underbaked premise. My favorites were the couple. They kept me interested in the film. What is "woke"? Btw, you sound less congested from when I first started listening to you back in 2019. 👍

I guess that’s good to hear. I didn’t think the premise was underbaked

I can’t say this movie was bad with how great the performances were and I liked a lot of the psychological aspects. But as thriller I thought it was disappointing. It got repetitive and walking out of it I felt really underwhelmed. Not one of M. Night’s worst but not his best either.

By psychological, you mean not knowing whether they’re who they say they are or if they are targeting them? Just the ambiguity?
