Let me know if you liked the Punisher or Elektra more. I can't really say Season 3 stuff without giving away spoilers. But the answer is yes. New *Arrow Video* posting after the episode airs tonight!
"One batch, two batch. Penny and Dime. Here I come. Here I come". Definitely Bernthal's Castle was my favorite thing this season. Just makes you want his own NetFlix series. That scene at the graveyard : ( It was a wrap from there, I actually cried. I was on Punisher's side from then on, his words for his family and baby girl specifically was great writing and amazing acting. Thanks for the review Charlie. #PunishThem!
I will say that I totally agree with Foggy in the scene where he gets pissed at Matt in the bathroom. Dude wanted to go to trial and he screwed it up every step of the way.
+Crazy House It was implied that Fisk had him say that because he meets up with the same cop that whispers to him and gets transferred to that same cell block.
+Evan Virani To a degree yes, but he chose to be in that shit. I was pissed with him when he missed the opening statement of the trial. Did he not have an alarm clock?
+Jasmine D'Souza Ikr they are great together but sadly I dont think they will ever get to be together, relationships NEVER works between two bad asses in these type of shows sadly as much as I want it too they are perfect for each other and clearly love each other
I like the way Karen sympathies with the punisher. She is the only main character who does and so she can argue with Matt and his ideology to not kill the bad people because it's the job of "God" or the maybe not so competent jury to decide their faith.
Karen is meant to have that morally gray backstory. Aligning with the Punisher helps tease that story that probably will come up for season 3. All they have left to introduce is Bullseye.
+Zaznayka74 such a long monologue and he did it perfectly. I teared up too, absolutely loved that scene. And the earlier rooftop scene when Matt/DD first talks with Frank/Punisher.
Karen sided with the Punisher because she feels guilt for killing Wesley and tries to find justification and sense in her action through him. If people think Frank is a monster, is she one too? I think the metaphor is more complex than just Elektra = devil and Karen = angel. Karen is not a Saint as she pointed out herself, she's been involved with very dark stuff and is trying to make peace with herself, just like Matt is. (What I love about Karen's character is that she has her own storyline and is not just a symbol/metaphor for the main character. She has her own secrets, battles and morality questionings.) With Elektra, Matt can be 100% Daredevil, it was a way for him to explore this side of himself and figure out a way out of the complicated double life he is leading. And with Karen, he can be 100% Matt. The thing is he thinks he can only be Matt with Karen because he has no idea what she's been through and that she certainly is not the fragile little angel he imagined she was. But at the end of the season, everything changes when he decides to WILLINGLY share his secret with her, it probably means he finally believes she's capable to love both his Matt and Daredevil side. So I think Karen/Punisher + Matt/Elektra storylines mirrored each other perfectly and lead to that final moment when Matt realizes he should let Karen in.
I really love how they showed Karen Page's story arc. I somehow feel she is as strong a character as Elektra. Punisher costume by the end of the series looks so badass!!
I really really loved the synergy between Daredevil and Elektra, I loved the little missions they went on together and the fight scenes were sick!! Actually all of them were this season xD
I actually really liked the way they took Karen, I mean it makes sense that she would sympathize with punisher since she had to murder someone last season
+Emergency Awesome its so simple. Karen page alignment with frank castle allows the audience to see castle as the good guy victim that he is. now on to more important issues
Definitely loved the Punisher and I like his interactions with Karen too. I know you don't but someone has to be on his side or at least someone had to question what was going on and it fits her character to a t. She's a lost puppy finder kind of girl. Loved this season even more than the first. Much more meat to it. Have already finished the season and am back around to Episode 6 already. lol
Daredevil on Netflix, keeps getting it right!! I love the take on Punisher and Electra is finally a total badass as intended. Marvel is really on to something here, cant wait for Luke Cage and Iron First
Always watch your videos after watching some Superhero TV Shows/Movie to hear your opinions and review, it's amazing! Keep doing what you are doing Charlie, big supporter all the way from Aruba!
I actually loved the scenes between Karen and Frank. The actors work really well together... as a NON-comicbook reader, I really found their interactions intruiging!
Did you not watch season 1? Karen kills a guy never told anyone. She is a 'grey' character. Her defending the Punisher is her resolving having killed a person and justify it by being ok with it because he was a bad person. She's defending a part of herself. It's called projection. Symbolism, come on.
Emergency Awesome.. Much appreciate you doing these in groups of three over time. I am sure a high percentage of people have 'Binged Watched' all of these when they first came out. Myself I have been watching a couple after work every night... I enjoy Binge Watching things but I have not had the time for this series... Thanks...
Karen Page's part was one of the BEST. It mirrors Daredevil as seeing through to the good in people. It also ties in closely with season 1 when she killed James Wesley. She did what she had to do, but she feels guilty about it. It seemed that she was using him to learn things about herself. As in "if he has goodness inside, maybe I do too".
Loved this season. Only one slow episode which was Elektra's introduction episode. Apart from that, every episode kept the pace so high that a binge-watch is inevitable. I loved the way they ended some of the episodes too, like when Daredevil threw the torch into the hole and it didn't hit the bottom until the start of the next episode. It was a fantastic way of showing how deep that hole went.
She killed "Wesley" dude, that's what her relationship with Frank Castle is about. That's why when she's talking to Matt about the difference between the Punisher and Daredevil, she slips and says what the Punisher is doing is an "okay thing". Cause she got rid of her problem (Wesley) the same way.
I hate to say this, but I was so invested in the Punisher's story line that whenever he wasn't on screen I kind of lost interest. Elektra was okay, but the Punisher trial and his mission seemed much more interesting to me than the Hand story line.
it's crazy how fast the episodes go by when I thought I was on ep 5 it was actually ep 6. It's so easy to binge watch the whole series especially on a day of.
Spoilers Looking back at it, Karen Page's life really f**king sucks. From, waking up in her apartment with a dead body, to being forced to kill a man to save her life. There is so much more as well like when she meats the blacksmith.
Boring? What!!... Thought she was as mysterious and she was a maniac. Haha. Nothing boring about her. Punisher was awesome too, just a pretty much take no BS ass kicker.
Yeah i now. But i dont like ELEKTRA. I dont like her. I think that she did act like a bored spoil girl. Thats all. I loved season 2,but this Elektra...
when they were talking about putting frank in genpop, me and my dad both flashed back to Rorschach from the watchmen movie. "im not locked in here with you, youre stuck in here with ME!!"
I've noticed a strange inconsistency that they somehow are ok with doing with the suit, where there are leather coverings for the neck area only if the mask is on when on screen. If he removes the mask it cuts away and when he is unmasked there is nothing covering the neck area. I would assume there is something he's pulling back but they never show it in the shot and he seems to be completely set after simply placing the mask on his head and somehow between shots his neck guard comes back.
I think she got close to Frank is because in the first season where she had no choice but to kill Kingpin's right hand man & maybe she didn't feel as bad about doing it while getting to understand Frank, but at the same time, she's a very understanding person in general.
The graveyard scene. Best piece of acting I've seen in a very very long time. Heart breaker, especially when you have a daughter of your own. Scene was brutally emotional!
Hey Charlie, When are you doing your Agents of SHIELD episode 13 review? I know with BvS you've been crazy busy but I look forward to your AoS videos each week
Elektra in this series is that girl that from day one you know you shouldn't be with, but you still end up with her. I love how she tries to push him over the edge by giving him the opportunity at vengeance, even though he had already healed that wound before.
I liked the duality of Punisher in general population. All the concern seemed to be that he wouldn't be safe from them, rather than that they wouldn't be safe from him. He wasn't locked in there with them. They were locked in with him.
Hey Charlie, what do you think of DD's new mask/helmet? I wonder if anyone else noticed the slight change but I prefer the first version better, I think they changed it to match the comic book more.
I think Karen Page was aligned with Punisher because she is also trying to prove killing someone really bad doesn't make you a bad guy. Going back to how she killed Wesley in season 1... trying to prove she isn't a bad person.
I'm glad that them made Karen more complex than just an angel on mates shoulder or a damsel in distress, she is becoming a much more rounded and believable character
Completely agree with you. Miss Yung, killed it. She absolutely nailed the Elektra character. She for sure, needs to be on daredevil from now on. No need for her to get a spinoff, leave that to Punisher. Elektra's & Daredevils chemistry, was fantastic.
I gotta say, I liked the Punisher stuff better because the Elektra episodes took on a more spy movie vibe that I didn't really like, while the Punisher bits were more full blown action movie type stuff. Also I just knew the Irish big bad was Van Gogh, I tried Googling it and found nothing. The dog thing actually made me cry, big dog lover here.
Karen Page is a badass. An angel, maybe, a beacon for truth and justice, sure, but she is not against the idea of gray morality. She's had to kill a man! And we're not entirely sure of what her past was like before she met Nelson and Murdock. I LOVE that they aligned her with The Punisher, because it drew parallels with Matt and Elektra's relationship; these people that can draw out the darker sides of your soul, but how it's a two-way street and how one's goodness can be just as affecting. Karen was the Daredevil's angel last year when he was starting out, now that he's been doing this for a bit, it's time for Matt to face temptation via Elektra, while Punisher is in a similar boat to Matt in season 1, and Karen can be the angel *he* needs. Matt was dealing with guilt and duty and Karen helped with that in her own way, and now Frank is dealing with the loss of his family and Karen helps him remember them, and what it's like to feel again. This is a great season for her character, since last season she spent a good half of it crying in Josie's with Foggy. She is her own character and not just a holy/sexy lamp for Matt Murdock to reach for but never obtain.
omg I waited for you to finally post a video. ..hands down this is the BEST show ever marvel has absolutely out done itself. ...I'm so happy and satisfied ...i look forward to the next phase of shows luke cage, iron fist, and the defenders. ...this is gonna be epic....
But Karen whole character is that she is running from and hiding the bad things she has done. She needs to believe their is redemption for Frank because if that is so then there can be redemption for her. That is the connection
I don't really think Karen is supposed to be the angel and representation of all that is good. That, in my opinion, is Foggy for Matt. The reason that Karen is firmly involved with The Punisher, I think, is because she still carries the guilt of murdering villains last season and he was her proxy for redemption.
yes to all the videos you still owe us Charlie 😝 also please post your Supergirl x Flash crossover here on RUclips as well, Facebook vids are obviously not so great
John Bernthal as The Punisher is AMAZING in Season 2 really hope he gets his own series on Netflix..Keep up these great informed videos🙆 You're Awesome!!
i think. We seems to forget that Karen Page killed someone last season. I forgot about it but once I actually thought about it, it made sense that she aligned herself with Punisher.
Let me know if you liked the Punisher or Elektra more. I can't really say Season 3 stuff without giving away spoilers. But the answer is yes. New *Arrow Video* posting after the episode airs tonight!
Punisher hands down. Electra just felt like a distraction
Who do you think the guys in suits are ? The ones after punisher
I really want to see a season 3 of daredevil soon so I hope there will be spoilers soon
+max powers Spoilers! That was explained. DA Reyes tried to have Castle killed in the hospital to tie up loose ends from the park massacre.
Daredevil: Go to hell
Punisher: Too late
My favorite lines from Daredevil season 2
+Reverse SteveJobs ha, nice
Really? My favorite was "One Batch. Two Batch. Penny and Dime". LMAO jk
Mahtab Khan I like that line also
+Reverse SteveJobs "You're just one bad day away from being me" is my favorite
mine is "bang"
I will say that I totally agree with Foggy in the scene where he gets pissed at Matt in the bathroom. Dude wanted to go to trial and he screwed it up every step of the way.
Ikr
I agree but I also get that Matt had some serious shit going on
this elektra is awesome
+Crazy House It was implied that Fisk had him say that because he meets up with the same cop that whispers to him and gets transferred to that same cell block.
+Evan Virani To a degree yes, but he chose to be in that shit. I was pissed with him when he missed the opening statement of the trial. Did he not have an alarm clock?
I'm in love with Electra and Matt they have great chemistry. I also love that Punisher calls daredevil "red"
+Jasmine D'Souza Ikr they are great together but sadly I dont think they will ever get to be together, relationships NEVER works between two bad asses in these type of shows sadly as much as I want it too they are perfect for each other and clearly love each other

Karen is meant to have that morally gray backstory. Aligning with the Punisher helps tease that story that probably will come up for season 3. All they have left to introduce is Bullseye.
spoiler
episode 12 10 minutes in about
Dam homie you predicted almost everything
My favourite part was Punisher's dialogue in the 4th episode. It was simply perfect and made me almost tear up. ;o; #TeamPunisher
Same
+Zaznayka74 such a long monologue and he did it perfectly. I teared up too, absolutely loved that scene. And the earlier rooftop scene when Matt/DD first talks with Frank/Punisher.
One batch two batch penny and a dime #punisher
+Zaznayka74 Absolutely! That Episode broke my heart...
I loved it too and also when Frank was like "How much do you charge by the hour?" to Matt.. or something like that. It made me laugha
Karen sided with the Punisher because she feels guilt for killing Wesley and tries to find justification and sense in her action through him. If people think Frank is a monster, is she one too? I think the metaphor is more complex than just Elektra = devil and Karen = angel. No one mentioning the graveyard scene in episode 4? One of the best scenes in the whole show in my opinion.
+Kyle Olszewski I loved that scene! I admit I got really emotional and teary watching it
Must've replayed that scene at least 3 times. And yes some tears might have been shed...
"See ya around Red"
+Ross Watson Best moment in the finale
I love the Castle/Karen team up. I adore it. Their chemistry is fantastic.
Just finished season 2 for the second time, can't wait for your next DD videos!
+Marcus Blixenkrone-Møller thanks!
+Emergency Awesome its so simple. Karen page alignment with frank castle allows the audience to see castle as the good guy victim that he is. now on to more important issues
+Emergency Awesome Agent of Shield video. C'mon dude, weeere waiting!
+Severan Vallery Lol. I am not going to lie, I am definitely waiting for that.
+biggie321hp so the French assassin. who fought elektra. who was that.
Definitely loved the Punisher and I like his interactions with Karen too. Good stuff, as always Charlie! I finished the series and it sets up VERY interesting things for Season 3. Can't wait to hear your speculation!
- Fox
Elektra is sexy as fuck and The Punisher is fucking badass.
Safe to say I thoroughly enjoyed season two.
Did you not watch season 1? Karen kills a guy never told anyone. She is a 'grey' character. I just have to say you have been the best with putting out all of your videos out in a perfect timely manner. Big Fan Charlie High Five..
Elektra is bomb ASF. one of the best parts of season 2 no doubt
Karen's alignment with Punisher actually goes well with her 'angel' motif. She represents mercy and compassion.
You need to do a Flash 1x17 trailer breakdown. I think their is some juicy stuff in there!
*2x17
*there
I agree!
Emergency Awesome..
Much appreciate you doing these in groups of three over time.
I am sure a high percentage of people have 'Binged Watched' all of these when they first came out.

I personally liked the Karen/Frank scenes. I think it made perfect sense.
Finally your Daredevil stuff is out!! YAYY!!
Charlie, I look forward to your videos almost as much as the episodes themselves (if not as much) 😊
5:59 you just HAD to say it, Charlie. xD
Loved this season. Only one slow episode which was Elektra's introduction episode. Apart from that, every episode kept the pace so high that a binge-watch is inevitable. best part about season 2 is the conversation between daredevil and the punisher about death and when frank castle explains penny and dime
Damn homie, you’ve came a long way in 5 years. Watching season 2 of DD again, coming back to do some research.
Great video, can't wait for your next DD video!
favorite moment is probably punisher telling his story when he says he's done
"Go to hell"
"Too late"
my favourite lines of daredevil season 2
"she isnt the damsel in distress anymore"
*gets kidnapped and shot at every other episode*
Spoilers
Looking back at it, Karen Page's life really f**king sucks. From, waking up in her apartment with a dead body, to being forced to kill a man to save her life. There is so much more as well like when she meats the blacksmith.
quality video , i had to wait a week before i coudl watch it but it was worth the wait!
Elektra is so boring. ;-; i wanted more of the punisher
^
Elektra was sexy af
Sexy but also a psycopath and boring
Boring?
I can't wait for daredevils REAL arch nemesis...STILT MAN!
when they were talking about putting frank in genpop, me and my dad both flashed back to Rorschach from the watchmen movie. "im not locked in here with you, youre stuck in here with ME!!"
nice vid. i watched all of the episodes...it was amazing
Ayeeeeeah! was SO waiting for this review
When can we expect another Daredevil video/series conclusion video? Thanks for all the good work!
About time Charlie!! :D Hey, if i don't have a Facebook, does that mean i can't watch your reviews on Gotham at all?...
That trial of the Punisher was definitely a clown fiesta, especially with Matt being distracted by Electra
best channel ever
Daredevil barely can see how i love this channel lol
Keep up the amazing work Charlie!!!
+connor pohlman thanks dude!
+Emergency Awesome no problem!
Just pulled a 14 hour all nighter and finished the series. Pls I love punisher so much he's so badass omfg I need moar
What did they call the Roxxon building? Yakatomi Tower? It reminded me of Nakatomi Tower from "Die Hard."
Whenever Electra would say "Mathew" 😍😍😍
The graveyard scene. Best piece of acting I've seen in a very very long time. Heart breaker, especially when you have a daughter of your own. Scene was brutally emotional!
Hey Charlie,
When are you doing your Agents of SHIELD episode 13 review? I know with BvS you've been crazy busy but I look forward to your AoS videos each week
Yes, been waiting for this :)
They were locked in with him.
the punisher getting dragged out of the courtroom !!! whe hes yelling "you want the punisher? I AM THE PUNISHER!!" just fucking epic !!
I miss the, "Hey, RUclips, it's Charlie..." opening... :(
me too):
I was going to make a sodium joke but, Na
Heh
get the fuck out of here with chemistry jokes
Normally I would say a joke about fluorine, iodine and neon would be better but yours is just FINe
This is gold
+snoopi kinnaird I'm not even going to say anything, I'll let you Be
Hey Charlie, what do you think of DD's new mask/helmet? I wonder if anyone else noticed the slight change but I prefer the first version better, I think they changed it to match the comic book more.
I think Karen Page was aligned with Punisher because she is also trying to prove killing someone really bad doesn't make you a bad guy. Going back to how she killed Wesley in season 1... trying to prove she isn't a bad person.
I'm glad that them made Karen more complex than just an angel on mates shoulder or a damsel in distress, she is becoming a much more rounded and believable character

Just finished watching season 2. What an absolute epic show, I'm speechless!
Hey Charlie,
Will you be doing the rest of the episodes?
I gotta say, I liked the Punisher stuff better because the Elektra episodes took on a more spy movie vibe that I didn't really like, while the Punisher bits were more full blown action movie type stuff.

I watched the whole season sense 8am-9pm. Back to back. Never done it in my life
Love your videos!
Loved the war of words on the rooftop between matt and frank...the morality issue
you had not mentioned another spoiler watch episode 5 stop at 24:41 and watch what's hanging on wall you just have to read that news
Even though i watched all the episodes Friday and Saturday, its still cool to watch these and go "oh yeah that symbolism makes sense" and etc
i love how the punisher is a hilariously terrible person, seriously made me laugh every time he takes the low road
I love ur vids Charlie
omg I waited for you to finally post a video. ..hands down this is the BEST show ever marvel has absolutely out done itself. ...I'm so happy and satisfied ...i look forward to the next phase of shows luke cage, iron fist, and the defenders. ...this is gonna be epic....
guys, can anyone please tell me what is the track they play when Punisher first walked in the to court.......that was bad ass man...
that's where I knew him from he was van gough (sorry for spelling) in dr who, u knew I'd seen him somewhere before. he's a damn good actor
But Karen whole character is that she is running from and hiding the bad things she has done. She needs to believe their is redemption for Frank because if that is so then there can be redemption for her. That is the connection

Jeez, this Monday feels weird. :^)
That shit with the fucking drill was straight up nasty. Holy shit, Punisher became footloose
I loved the trial, it really allowed Foggy and Karen to shine. Even the Punisher.
yes to all the videos you still owe us Charlie 😝 also please post your Supergirl x Flash crossover here on RUclips as well, Facebook vids are obviously not so great
Every scene with Punisher was electric, and that is from someone who didn't like him in walking dead.
John Bernthal as The Punisher is AMAZING in Season 2 really hope he gets his own series on Netflix..Keep up these great informed videos🙆 You're Awesome!!
will you do rest of the episodes of season 2?
I got the idea that Karen simply wanted to find a justification in the Punisher's ways do to her shooting Kingpins assistant in season 1.
Dam i was busting my ass for daredevil review on this channel
Little did i knew there wasnt any
i think. We seems to forget that Karen Page killed someone last season. I forgot about it but once I actually thought about it, it made sense that she aligned herself with Punisher.
loved it..
just like season 1 the tobecreminds me so much of everything I loved about the original Crow movie!!
